Their Saturday arson date was eventful, and not just because of the arson. As soon as Wednesday picked up Karina from her dorm, the pyro was yelling at her for all the things she bought. Karina had counted during their little rest.
Sixty nine.
Sixty nine items varying from knickknacks to clothes to books and just about anything else you could think of. Karina wondered if she bought sixty nine on purpose. She wouldn't put it past her. She also quickly realized that everything Wednesday bought was something she had stopped to look at or picked up for a few seconds. It was absolutely ridiculous and Yoko wouldn't stop laughing at her.
It was glaringly clear that Wednesday Addams did not understand the value of a dollar. And how could she? Her family was so rich they were planning to pay for three extra college tuitions and a gap year for Bianca to travel the world. Karina realized she was marrying into that and would never have to worry about money for the rest of her life most likely. A nice thought, but she wasn't a materialistic person. She didn't need expensive items and she didn't need sixty nine cheaper ones. She loved Wednesday and her apparently gift giving love language, but she would much rather have something with meaning. Kinda like Wednesday herself with liking gifts that are handmade. So Karina explained that to her, and Wednesday finally promised to stop buying her a million presents. Though she did put an emphasis on buying, so Karina expected to be soon receiving a bunch of handmade gifts. Not that she was complaining.
After coming to an agreement they continued with their arson date, Karina deciding to burn down some random building since Wednesday had lost her choosing privileges. They had a good time and both were weirdly turned on afterwards. Though they didn't think they'd be able to have sex thanks to having roommates. However, when Wednesday walked Karina to her dorm they found a note on it in Yoko's handwriting.
From personal experiences, I know how date nights usually end. Have at it ya kinky bastards ;)
Karina rolled her eyes, but was extremely grateful. She grabbed Wednesday's hand and pulled her into the room. It was a very good night for both girls.
Sunday was the last day for parents weekend and it seemed to go smoothly. Nothing interesting really happened and by the end of the day the Addams family said their goodbyes. They promised to be back before Brian was set to arrive and Morticia gave Karina some parting words of advice.
"I know you're worried about everyone, but don't forget to worry about yourself too. You're just as important as everyone else."
The two hugged tightly and then the Addams family left. Well, except for one. Thing chose to stay behind, saying he'll keep an eye on everything. Even though he didn't have one. And while he did want to keep an eye on things, he also just wanted to spend more time with Enid and get to know Karina better. Hopefully, she'll be able to understand him soon.
The next week was also fairly uneventful. Nothing of importance happened outside Karina and Wednesday finishing their duet on that next Saturday. All they had to do was incorporate all the previous melodies to show how the two people come together as one. Officially finished, all that was left was to practice it regularly so they would be ready for the competition. The only other eventful thing was their arson date night. Unless you wanted to count the handmade gifts Wednesday started to give her.
The first was an origami swan that Karina absolutely loved. And she loved it even more when she realized there was writing on the paper. She had to carefully unfold it and inside she found a poem that Wednesday wrote for her. It was beautiful, but then she started to cry because she didn't know how to refold the swan. She walked as fast as she was allowed to to Wednesday's dorm and begged for her to fold it again, though she took a picture of the poem before she did so she could read it whenever. After that little fiasco, Wednesday decided to do the origami animal and poem with separate pieces of paper. It was much appreciated by Karina.
