The Plan Is Set In Motion

Karina didn't know where Wednesday (and Thing) were disappearing to hours on end everyday, and when she tried to ask she was simple told "research". She decided to leave her girlfriend be and help the others set up their plan.

The first obstacle was learning how to build a bomb. They used Wednesday's crystal ball to contact Pugsley and ask for help. He ran them through on what they needed first and they realized they needed to be a little sneaky in buying the materials. If they bought it all at once, it would be obvious what they're up to. So they decided to break it up over several days, someone different going each time. By Saturday they had all the materials, so while Wednesday and Karina were at their duet practice, Riley was building the bomb in Wednesday and Enid's room with the instructions of Pugsley from the crystal ball. The others stayed far away from Ophelia Hall. Except for Ajax who watched nervously by Riley's side the whole time. The others were sure everything would go smoothly, but better safe than sorry. By night fall the bomb was ready. Their biggest obstacle was completed.

Time remaining: seven weeks

The second obstacle consisted of scouting the cave and making sure nothing was living in it, as well as finding nearby hiding spots they could use to watch the cave. They first scouted the cave Monday afternoon and were surprise attacked by a black bear. They all screamed and ran away, Ajax jumping into Riley's arms, and Kent screaming like a high pitched little girl. But then Karina collapsed, gasping for air as she clutched her chest. Cloud had no choice but to bite her neck and Enid ran back, claws swinging as she screamed in terror. She got a good scratch across its snout so it ran away.

They decided to head back to the school since now Karina was more or less paralyzed for the next hour. Enid carried her bridal style and when Wednesday saw them while she walked through the halls, she had some choice words for them. Once Karina assured her girlfriend she was fine, Wednesday calmed down.

They decided to wait till Saturday to go back. And when they did, this time Wednesday did not allow Karina to go as she wrapped her arms around her waist from behind. The two girlfriends spent the afternoon cuddling in Karina's dorm which turned into making out which turned into sex. Not that either of them minded that development.

The others were at the cave where thankfully there was no bear this time. Inside the cave they found the perfect spot to hide the bomb and give max damage. They didn't place it yet, they didn't even have it with them, but it was good to know where it would go.

From there they had Bianca stand in front of the cave and the others spread out in the surrounding trees to see where they could hide and keep a vantage point. Bianca would point out who she could see and eventually she was completely confused as to where Yoko had gone. The vampire had climbed a damn tree. It was perfectly hidden though. However, realistically, they knew the only ones in their group who could get up there are Yoko and Enid. So they decided that's where they would hide and the others would be hidden somewhere kind of far away. Yoko and Enid would act as their eyes and then they could set off the bomb from a distance. Second obstacle overcome.

Time remaining: six weeks

The third obstacle was the contingency plan. In the scenario their bomb doesn't do the job, what then? They had Wednesday show them where she hid all her weapons and they all picked their favorite while Wednesday glowered the whole time. She didn't like her friends putting their most likely dirty hands all over her perfectly kept weapons. But Karina kissed her cheek and forced her to calm down.

Bianca took a sword, Yoko a crossbow, Eugene a medieval flail, and all the others a knife. Wednesday had a collapsable spear that was her favorite and Karina didn't need a physical weapon. Though the goth was well versed in weaponry, her friends were not. They started having after school training sessions in the woods. Wednesday would teach them for a few hours and then go and do her secretive research. Karina was getting to spend less and less time with her girlfriend. But eventually, everyone was pretty decent with their weapons. And if Brian walked out of that cave alive, it was Yoko's job to shoot him down. Third obstacle completed.
