It was Tuesday and Lilith went to Enid the first opportunity she got. She waited for Wednesday to leave after walking her to her class and then she dashed after Enid who was walking down the hallway. This of course made Cloud hiss at her and the other students jump away from her, but she didn't care. This was an emergency.
Hearing the noise, Enid stopped and turned around. "Lily, what are you doing?"
Lilith hunched over next to her as she caught her breath and held her hand over her heart. "Need to ... talk to you."
"Okay, but don't hurt yourself to do it." She glanced at her phone. "Class starts in two minutes. Can this wait till lunch?"
Lilith stood up straight and took one more deep breath. "No because then Wednesday will be there."
Enid narrowed her eyes at her. "What are you planning?"
"I want to get her a gift but I'm not sure what and you're her best friend."
Enid chuckled. "Yeah, and you're her girlfriend. You probably know her better than I do now."
She shook her head. "I can guarantee I don't. I never realized until I decided to get her a gift, but we don't really talk about our interests all that much. We commit arson, we play music, we have sex, and we talk, sure, but not small talk."
Enid tilted her to the side confused. "But didn't Wednesday do a whole date with your favorite drinks and snacks? And she told me last night that she played your favorite song for you—er, you played it together. But still, she knows that stuff about you."
"Because Bianca told her. Everything she knows about me is from my best friend. So now I'm asking you." She brought her hands together in front of her like she was praying. "Please help me."
Enid crossed her arms and furrowed her eyebrows at her. "Maybe you should be taking this as a hint that you two need to talk more."
Lilith rolled her eyes. "And I will! After you help me. If I ask her all about her interests now then she's gonna know something is up. Come on, Enid, please."
The bell rang signaling the start of class and Enid sighed. "If she comes for me later, you're taking the hit."
Lilith smiled and threw her arms around the werewolf. "Thank you!"
"Don't thank me yet." They pulled away. "Come on, we can go to my dorm since Wednesday's in class."
The two stealthily made their way to Ophelia Hall, doing their best to avoid being caught. However, they didn't do that great of a job. Though no staff saw them, Wednesday did. From sitting inside her classroom, she caught sight of two figures outside the window. She recognized them immediately. Why was Lilith ditching class with Enid? The two are friends so it's not completely weird, but why did Lilith not say anything when she walked her to class? Did Lilith not want her to know? And why Enid? It would make even more sense for it to be Bianca. And why are they headed to the dorms?
Wednesday just didn't understand so she turned to Divina next to her, the only one she had this class with. Out of their friend group, beside Enid and Eugene, Wednesday could admit (to herself only) that she liked Divina the most. She wasn't an idiot like her brother, or overly teasing like her girlfriend, and not a rival like Bianca. And even unlike with Enid, she could be sure that Divina wouldn't gossip to the others about her question.
"If you were to catch Yoko from afar ditching class with ..." she tried to think of an equivalent to Enid in this scenario, someone Yoko is friends with but not super close to "... Kent ... what would you do?"
Divina furrowed her brows together. "That is so far out of left field I have to assume you just saw Lilith ditching class with someone."
"Indeed. With Enid. What would you do?"
