08: No strings attached

It has been a while since both Wonwoo and Sena saw each other. Wonwoo still has lingering feelings for Sena and is regretful for not being able to bring her pick some furniture for her new home.

She just left that day and although she kept saying it's fine on the phone, he knew that he needed to make it right from the mistake he made by calling her with a different name. He wanted her to see him in a different light.

They recently have been actively commenting on the shared pictures they took on the shared cloud documents as they did not post their holiday pictures publicly.

He wanted to meet her and suddenly he was reminded by the bread place list she shared. He went to several of them and some are left on the list.

"Hyung, do you know where our lawyer's office is?" He asked Seungcheol.
Although he is startled, "It's in Gangnam near the xxx area. Why?"
"Nothing, I just heard there is a good bakery there."
"Really?" He asked nonchalantly.
He didn't answer the question and it's not like Seungcheol is interested in prying him anyway.

Wonwoo checked his watch, it's an hour before office hours end. He quickly gets his jacket and his car key, leaving the dorm.

Wonwoo arrived at the bakery listed on Sena's list. She noted down her favorite pstry and the pairing drink she used to get on the list. He checked out the display and found the food as mentioned. "Can I get strawberry cream pastry and creme brulee latte please?" He told the cashier, she checked the display and the other staff took the last two pieces of pastry to a box. She asked her colleague, "Was it an online order?" And her friend nodded and said something that he couldn't hear.
The cashier smiled awkwardly, "I am sorry but that was the last one. Do you want something else? This pastry is similar to that but it uses strawberry cream cheese and this is also the last one." She looked at him with hopeful eyes hoping that he would not be disappointed.
"Sure, I'll take that." He answered the cashier with a smile.

"Ah, I'm late again." Someone behind him exclaims softly talking to herself. "What's good... what's good... let's see..." Wonwoo can feel she peeps behind his shoulder to the cake display as he pays.

"Here is your receipt." The cashier said, "you can wait over there to take the meal."

Wonwoo then looks behind his shoulder and his eyes widen, "oh, Lawyer Yoon!" He sounds too excited without realizing. He was about to take a picture and share it with her once he settled down, hoping she would respond and meet him near her office. But here she is behind him, coming before he did his plan.

"Wonwoo-ssi..." Sena looked around and softened her voice making sure she didn't grab attention although this handsome man already did in some ways. She looked surprised. "What are you doing here?"

He smiled and showed her the note. She looked surprised and disbelieving, "I don't know you still keep this... Did you come all the way for this?"

Wonwoo nodded proudly and she gasped jokingly.

"Number 68..." the waiter called on the service counter. Wonwoo checked his receipt and noticed it's his. "I will take that and find a seat for us..."

He left for the service counter leaving Sena quickly before she could answer or say a word. She asked herself, "Did I say I will join him? I am busy too..." but she lied as she put a smile on her face.

Wonwoo picked a seat away from the hallway and windows, the place with less sight of people. Sena picked a hot choco and a peach pastry. She sits opposite Wonwoo who is readily taking her chair.

"Woo, manners nam..." Sena teased her.
Wonwoo just awkwardly smiles.
"I would have asked you to switch our order if it's not your first time here and you didn't bring that list." Sena started the conversation.
"Do you want some?" He offered after cutting it in half.
"No, I want you to devour it and tell me how good is it?"
He then took a bite and understood why she recommended it.
"It's good right?" Sena proudly smiles seeing his reaction while she sips her drink.
"It's really good." He said after swallowing the food, she offered her a high five and she took it, "As expected! Yoon Sena!"
