"So you expect me to believe, that Cody got kidnapped and all of you went after the kidnapper. Not to mention that the guy who lured Cody out was Harley Carbonite, the honour athlete?" Mitch raised an eyebrow.
Jonathan's eyes shifted around the room, to the faces of his friends. Most were staring at the ground while some glared at the teacher. They even got Clash and Double in here! And besides the advanced Math teacher there were the Gym teacher, mr. Robin Nelson, and the secretary in the room.
"Yes." Tyler replied to mr. Hughes, being the one glaring. Hughes sighed and looked at the secretary who only shrugged.
"I can prove it..." Cody mumbled as he took off his sweatshirt. The three adults stared in shocking awe at the bruises and little scars that decorated Cody's arms. Brock cringed and looked away.
"But...how the..." Robin let out.
"Harley also picked a fight with the new guy on Tuesday," Lui pointed at Jonathan, him glancing at Lui with a 'really?' look.
"Oh yeah, Adam told me something like that...it slipped out during one break." mr. Nelson chuckled.
Jonathan facepalmed. "Okay, I'll take my detention hours now then."
"We'll talk about that later. For now...I guess you're free to go, actually. Get better, Cody..." the secretary mumbled the last part. Cody nodded and put his sweatshirt back on.
"So we'll talk to you privately, Jonathan."
Jonathan nodded as everyone else left the room. He actually heard somebody whisper "RIP." to him, as he snickered.
"Can we debate on this? I think 2 hours is enough," Jonathan wasted no time.
"Oh no, you're free from that. Just... we've actually been keeping an eye on Harley for a while. He's always been bullying other individuals. And his friends are no exception. The only problem is that he's been targeting your friend group in general. And you seem like a reasonable, tough young man. So we want you to... keep a distance, to say the least."
Jonathan's mouth was slightly open as he heard the secretary's speech. "But...why haven't you done anything about that then?"
"Because Harley's family has money. Dirty money. If you know what I mean," mr. Nelson answered and smirked. Jonathan's eyes widened, because he knew exactly what they were talking about.
"Do you guys...know me?"
Nelson's smirk grew wider. Mitch scratched the back of his head. "Do you remember a boy called Luke from your elementary school years?"
Luke.
Luke....
...
Luke!
"What about him?"
"My sister's son." Mitch grinned.
Jonathan's eyes widened even more. "So he's in this town?"
Mitch's slight nod brought a grin on Jonathan's face.

"So we'll talk next break?" Craig asked. Tyler nodded.
"What," both looked up to see Ryan/Cry and some others stare at them.
"What? Should we announce publicly that we decided to drop the silly hatred?" Tyler's eyes narrowed while Craig just looked away, out of the window. It had begun raining again.
"No, but just... it's so weird seeing you two together now..." Ryan shrugged and took a seat.
Tyler rolled his eyes, cracking a smile, "I'd like everyone to stop staring at us, though. Just try to pretend "the accident" never happened!" He looked at Craig, losing his cocky smirk. "Mini?"
