Jonathan woke up just like yesterday - groaning at an amazing guitar solo. He also did his same morning routine so no point talking about that again.
The only exception is that today he was wearing a black T-shirt and a blue checkered plaid blouse over it, unbuttoned. Same jeans and and same sneakers.
He was out of his home at 7:23, mask on. He noticed Evan walking out of his home too. Same spiked up hair, same sunglasses, same red jacket, unzipped, with a white shirt showing underneath, same black jeans and red sneakers.
Evan already felt his cheeks getting warm. "Oh. Hi Jonathan!" he waved.
Jonathan waved back but said nothing. "Wow, I thought they were just friendly because it was my first day..."
"So... you're staying over tonight huh?" Evan smiled awkwardly.
"Yeah, I wanna ask you....why is the neighbourhood sketchy?"
"Uhh....all you need to know is that it is, ok?"
Jonathan sighed frustratedly and started walking towards the bus stop. "Great, now I have 2 mysteries to figure out."
"Wait!" Evan blurted out. Jonathan stopped right in front of his house walkway. "I uhh...I can give you a ride." now he felt like he was getting a fever.
Jonathan noticed the redness as he himself blushed slightly. Thank you mask, for the 30th time. "Uhh..."
"It'll be no problem," Evan grinned.
Jonathan's eyes widened. That grin. "Am I in heaven or is he just a fallen angel? Wait, what. Pff..."
"Okay," Jonathan felt like he wasn't even controlling his own body anymore as he made his way towards Evan's car. Evan nodded, still grinning.
They got in the car, Evan in the driver's seat and Jonathan in the passenger's seat. Evan started the car and they were off.
"Oh, I guess I should tell you that I also usually drive Tyler and Marcel to school.
"Ok. Can I turn on the radio?"
"Of course."
Jonathan switched radio channels until he stopped at one channel where Awolnation-Sail was playing. "Nice choice," Evan smiled. Jonathan nodded in response and stared at the at least 10-story apartment building Evan stopped at. "So this is where Tyler lives. In the 10th story. He always complains about that." Evan's smile went a bit wider when Jonathan snickered at his comment.
Tyler was seen running out the door, a piece of toast inbetween his teeth, backpack loosely around one shoulder and he was holding onto the strap with one arm, holding and checking something on his phone with the free hand.
"Yup. Regular morning Tyler."
Tyler stopped next to the car, putting the phone in his pocket. His eyes slightly widened as he saw Jonathan in the car. Tyler climbed in the back, throwing his backpack on the floor. grabbing the toast out of his mouth.
"Hey Jon!" he said with a slightly full mouth. He swallowed the food right after that. "And Evan."
"Sup."
"Hello."
"Oh wow. So polite," Tyler smirked. Evan chuckled.
"Meh," Jonathan shrugged as Evan drove away from the huge building.
"Eyy, I love this channel!" Tyler grinned.
"Jonathan picked it,"
"Cause 'Sail' was playing before."
