The night approached, Lisa and Chaeyoung shivered uncontrollably in the freezing cold.
Lisa made a few attempts to start a fire but she always seemed to mess it up at the last moment. It frustrated Chaeyoung to no end as she shivered and waited for warmth. Despite her annoyance, she knew that they needed to find shelter soon.
They began to look around and eventually stumbled upon a small cave. It was not ideal but it was better than nothing. Lisa tried once again to start a fire, her attempts were in vain.
Chaeyoung took charge and managed to light a small fire using the remaining dry branches they gathered. They huddled together for warmth but it was still a difficult and uncomfortable night.
In the morning, they knew they needed to find their way back to Jennie and Jisoo. Lisa was ashamed of her incompetence and was determined to make it up to Chaeyoung. She wanted to be someone she could rely on.
Chaeyoung noticed the hopeful expression on Lisa's face and knew exactly what she was thinking. Before she could start, she held up a hand and said firmly. "No, Lisa. Don't even try. You're going to mess it up anyway." The miner's face fell, she felt discouraged.
"Don't give me that look and listen. I'm just saying, you don't have to try so hard to act the way you think I want you to act. Just be yourself, even if it's inconvenient or silly. Trust me, you'll have more success that way." Chaeyoung let out a sigh and added.
"Got it!" Lisa's face lit up at her words, she immediately started doing things her own way.
They walked through the field of snow, Chaeyoung rubbed her cold body. Lisa, on the other hand, was excitedly scanning the ground for rocks. Kicking the patches of snow and trying to find useful rocks.
Chaeyoung watched her curiously, wondering what she was doing. Finally, Lisa found what she was looking for. She held up a small, shiny rock and grinned at Chaeyoung.
"I found flint!" She exclaimed proudly.
"What are you going to do with that?" Chaeyoung looked at the rock skeptically.
Lisa explained that flint could be used to create sparks that would start a fire. She showed Chaeyoung how to strike the flint against another rock, creating a shower of sparks that soon ignited the dry twigs they had gathered.
As the fire crackled and warmed them, Chaeyoung noted that Lisa's knowledge of rocks finally came in handy.
"It's not what I would have thought of." She admitted.
"That's because I'm a genius," Lisa grinned playfully. "Now let me get you some protein."
Lisa started to gather branches and twigs that were poking out of the snow. She then took her shoelaces off and began to tie the branches together to form a sort of fence, which she placed in a semicircle in front of them.
Chaeyoung watched in confusion as Lisa continued her work but she trusted her enough to let her carry on. Lisa then took some breadcrumbs she had left from her pocket and placed them on the inside of the fence, forming a trail leading towards it.
"What are you doing?" Chaeyoung asked, intrigued.
"I'm laying a trap." Lisa replied. "The crumbs will attract animals and when they follow the trail inside the fence, they'll get trapped."
Chaeyoung looked at her, impressed by her creativity. "That's actually pretty smart." She noted with a smile.
After a while, they saw a small rabbit approach the fence, following the trail of crumbs. As it got closer to the trap, Lisa quickly pulled on a piece of string that she set up, which caused the fence to snap shut, trapping the rabbit inside. It looked like the same rabbit Leo failed to catch.
