After being teased by his husband, who receives a slap on his shoulder as the Medicine Seller being scolded because teasing him at the wrong time, [Name] watches his husband treat his wound with some alcohol and wrap it around using a bandage while both of them waiting for which one of Sakai's family speak up.

One of them does pipe up, but it's not what the two sellers want to hear.

"I've run out of sake, hey. Someone, please bring me more." The samurai in the yellow robe that goes by Yoshikuni holding up the empty cup from which he drank sake. Yoshikuni looks at the head maid when no staff makes a move.

"Sato."

"R-Right away! Kayo, go get it."

After hearing the head maid say her name, Kayo is surprised when Yoshikuni orders someone else to get the sake and Kayo is the one who has to go get it when it's not even her name mentioned by the brother of the head of house.

"Hurry and fetch the good sake. You know where we keep it."

There was obviously no way Kayo wanted to go given the dire circumstances with a monster outside the barrier that Medicine Seller had constructed. So as an indication that she didn't want to go, Kayo shook her head.

"I-I don't want to..."

"What are you saying?!"

"You were the one he asked! I don't want to leave this room!"

"How dare you talk back to me!"

[Name] already feels that a headache is coming, so with help from his husband to stand up, [Name] follows his husband and walks to the front door where the wooden box located. "Hey! Where do you suppose the two of you are going?" Odajima calls out as soon as she sees that both sellers are moving toward the front door.

"I require salt," begin Medicine Seller

"And I'll go get sake in Kayo-san's stead." And to complete the statement, [Name] offers to go get some sake. [Name] feels bad seeing how terrified his new friend is, so he chooses to take it himself.

"Don't move unless I tell you too!" Odajima yelled, causing [Name], who was already irritated by the samurai, to feel his eye twitch.

"We'll be attacked by that creature once more, and I need to be prepared."

"No way! Stay put! You haven't earned my trust yet!"

Odajima yells once more, and naturally [Name] sighs before turning to face the samurai.

"Then, if you want to get killed by that demon, be my guest."

"Why you..."

God, he always says the wrong thing at the wrong moment.

Upon observing [Name]'s anguish, the medicine seller had an idea: "How about you come along with us? We'd appreciate it if you did."

Kusuriuri-san why-

"Sure! I'll go! I'm sorry for foiling your one and only opportunity to escape!"

Oh bother-

[Name] waits calmly as Medicine Seller removes each talisman that seals the door one at a time, prepared to take the supplies they require.

A signal that no demons are hiding behind the barrier is given by the Medicine Seller's quick glimpse at [Name], who then gives a nod while scanning to the left and right. which permits them to leave.

"I'm opening it."

Seeing how scared Odajima is, [Name] couldn't help but silently snorted. Suddenly, Kayo starts to move forward. "I'll go with you!" Both medicine sellers blinked.

"Kayo-san, are you sure?"

"I'm positive!"

The two medicine sellers exchange glances, and [Name] simply shrugs. "Alright then, stay close to us."

As soon as Medicine Seller slides the door open, the party proceeds to the kitchen to get the salt and sake. "Are you going to the kitchen?" Odajima enquires while staring at the two medicine sellers. "I simply need to borrow some salt."

Odajima naturally scoffed at this after hearing it. "Yeah right. Do you plan to use this opportunity to poison us?" This time, Odajima makes [Name] the one who scoffed at the accuser. "As I said, if you want to die so quickly, be my guest."

Of course, Kayo defended them as well, pointing out that they wouldn't be cat food like the previous servant because of the Medicine Seller. They soon reach the kitchen. "Where is it?" Asks Medicine Seller "I'll go and get it, it's by the stove, please wait and don't go anywhere,"

When [Name] heard Kayo speak and saw how hesitant she was, [Name] moved closer to her. "I'll get it for you," he said. When Kayo heard this, her countenance lit up.

"R-Really?"

"Yeah, no problem. Stay there, okay?"

Kayo couldn't help but nod at [Name], who then moved in the direction of the kitchen. Unaware that there is something on the floor, [Name] quickly moves toward the salt pot when he notices it at the stove.

As soon as [Name] stepped on it, the floor slid beneath him, causing [Name] to collapse in the direction of the ground and yell out in surprise. Instead of the floor appearing, [Name] felt two arms around his midsection, stopping him from falling.

"Are you okay?" Medicine Seller asks while slowly lifting [Name] onto his feet. "Y-Yeah, thanks Kusuriuri-san..." [Name] stumbled, feeling shy a bit as he avoid eye contact with his spouse. When the Medicine Seller notices this, he immediately chuckles in amusement.

"S-Shut up,"

"I didn't say anything."

[Name] huffed and moved on to get the salt. The salt jar was too heavy for [Name] to raise when he dragged it out, and when Medicine Seller reached over and easily picked it up, he was surprised by [Name's] expression.

Before giving it to Odajima, who was having trouble holding it.

"O-Oi, you expect me to carry this ?!" Odajima complained as [Name] make his way to grab the sake so he can give it to Kayo while listening to the bickering between his spouse and samurai. "Of course, in order to prevent the possibility of poisoning it." [Name] said out loud, purposely making both Odajima and Medicine Seller hear it loud and clear.

"Y-You heard what I said?"

"You speak so loudly that it's difficult to avoid hearing you."

"You're making fun of me!"

"Oh no, Kusuriuri-san. Looks like he noticed."

"It is, should we make a run for it?"

Kayo couldn't help but giggle as she watched [Name] and Medicine Seller make fun of Odajima. And they safely make it back to the main room.
