"Truth is the basic facts, Regret is the motive behind its grudge."
"So, what about it?"
"Something happened and for whatever reason, the spirit bears a grudge. Unless everything become clear, the sword will hold no power and cannot cut down the Mononoke." Medicine Seller explain, looking at everyone in the room while [Name] looking around, searching for the aura of Mononoke.
But when [Name] listen to about Medicine Seller explanation about the Truth and Regret of Mononoke, the (H/c) haired male couldn't help but wondering for one thing.
"I have been wondering for a while. Since we came from back door and meet Kayo-san, there are a lot of mouse trap. Wouldn't it be easier if you guys have a cat?" [Name] ask, staring at the owner of the house one by one where Medicine Seller who heard this also it perked up his curiosity.
"Yes, I also wondering about that as well. Why are there no cats in this house? Someone must have done something to a cat. What could it have been?" Medicine Seller ask, also wondering what happen to the cat.
"A cat's grudge can't haunt humans. You think a lowly beast is capable of such an extreme act?" Ask the sake lover. This makes [Name] couldn't help but narrowing his eyes at Yoshikuni, thinking about how this Bakeneko must related to sake lover.
"I wouldn't know but there's definitely a Mononoke."
"But a grudge? I mean, they kept coming into the kitchen, so I'd splash water or chase them out. But they wouldn't grudge or haunt us for that? There's no way!" Kayo tries to speak up, wondering if her behavior toward the cat can make the cat hold grudges.
"Kayo-san, let's make an example situation. Imagine if some people talking bad about you behind and saying that 'it's just a joke'. Does it make a funny joke to you, Kayo-san?" [Name] make a theory and ask a question to make Kayo-san understand which it's working.
"No, it's not funny at all if it's about me..."
"Exactly. Same with the cat. You thought that spraying the water to the cat it's just a harmless attack but to the cat, who knows. Might a dangerous attack to them, they have their own reason." [Name] explain and blush when he heard Medicine Seller hummed.
"What an amazing theory explanation you have, Love~" This of course make the (H/c) blush more when his husband using a pet name right in front everyone.
"S-Shut up. Just need to know what they supposed to understand..." [Name] huffed and avoid the eye contact with Medicine Seller who couldn't help but chuckle silently.
"But other people have done stuff a lot worse than what I did!" Kayo out of nowhere exclaim, snapping out both [Name] and Medicine Seller from their moment.
"Wh-What do you mean?" The head maid, Sato ask but [Name] can hear the nervous base on her tone. " I know about it! Sato-san has been buying cats."
Buying cats? Oh man, I feel bad feeling about this...
Hearing this of course, take attention of Medicine Seller.
"Buying cats?"
"All I did was pay for them and nothing more."
