RECAP:

"I beg you! Please, I beg you! PLEASE!"

Both [Name] and Medicine Seller's eyes when they heard the sound of sword release.

"Please, do something!"

~~~
The sound of the sword open still ringing in Medicine Seller's ear, widened in shock that the simple human could open it. Slowly standing up with help from [Name], [Name] lets out a startled gasp when he feels Medicine Seller wrap his arm around his waist, bringing the sword with them to the top of the stairs where the other survivors are behind them. If they're not in a serious situation, [Name] would be amazed at the quantities of the talisman make a circle protection.
"If Odajima is asking for my help... I have no choice... With the Truth and Regret! This sword shall be released!" Ready to fight but for some reason, the sword didn't release or open making both sellers have surprised looks.
"What..!"
Avoiding the attack, [Name] quickly turned around as he watched in horror as the Bakeneko split into two, ready to attack other survivors but fortunately, thanks to Medicine Seller, they were being protected by the talisman that Medicine Seller had summoned.
But unfortunately, the Medicine Seller wasn't unaware of the attack. Seeing the attack going toward his husband, [Name] quickly pushes his husband away and coughs up blood when the attack strikes right on his stomach, sending him away in the air. A bunch of memories appear in his mind, about the same lady being abused in the same house by the certain Elder Master that he recognizes.
'Who is this memory....? Is this... Tamaki-san's memories...' The last thing that [Name] remembers is the sound of his husband calling out for his name before everything turns black.
"......ake up."
"....me]-san, wake up."
"[Name]-san, wake up."
[Name] opens his eyes slowly, flinches at the brightness, and then closes them again when a shadow passes over him. The first thing [Name] saw when he opened his eyes again was a little white cat staring down at [Name] with its head tilted. However, there is something strange about the cat: for some reason, it has a crimson streak down the middle of its head.
"A.....cat....?" When [Name] finally sat up, he noticed the same woman smiling and seated directly in front of him. His eyes widened.
"Wha.....Tamaki...san....?"
"Greetings, [Name]-san. Since the moment you entered this awful estate, I have been dying to speak with you."
The woman dressed in white, the same woman from the recollections and the one who started the whole Bakeneko commotion; Tamaki is laughing at the fact that [Name] had made. [Name] immediately settles in and turns to face Tamaki, who gives him a smile. [Name] feels something land on his lap and looks down to see that it's the same cat as before.
However, [Name] saw that this cat reminded him of the cat he had in his flat since they looked the same, as if it was a copycat. "It seems Kazuha likes you." [Name] flutter. Wasn't that...his cat's name?
"Ka....zuha?"
"Ara? Isn't that the name of your cat?" Looking into the cat's eye, which genuinely brought to mind the cat he adored, made [Name] breath hitch. With deliberate slowness, [Name] lifted his hand and approached the cat, who promptly rubbed its head on [Name]'s palm after sniffing on his finger.
"Indeed, it is his name. But how...?" Tamaki laughs. "I have my ways." As he continued to pat Kazuha's head, [Name] blinked at her comments but chose to ignore them. Tamaki said, mentioning the Elder Master's remarks, "You seem to see it through," to which [Name] shrugged.
"To be honest, it's a bit obvious. Why the cat turns into Bakeneko, if the tale told by the old man is accurate, will be one of the most difficult mysteries. It can't be just any old corny story about a 'wife's dead,' can it?" When Tamaki heard the justification, she giggled once more. "It sure is." They are both enjoying a quiet moment until [Name] makes the decision to interrupt. "So, what's the story behind all of this?" Tamaki let out a sigh.
"I was a nobleman's sacrificed wife who married him. At that time, we were traveling when we encountered him and his awful family in the middle of the road." With a sigh, Tamaki strokes the cat curled up on her lap. "And isn't that where it all began when you were placed in that 'place'? because those guys are unaware that there are cats residing there." Tamaki nodded as [Name] surmised about the kitties.
The hidden area that Yoshikuni opens is the same "place" that [Name] mentions. There is a switch within the concealed room that, when pulled, will cause the cage to drop, allowing it to capture anyone inside.
"They killed them all... Except for this little one..." Tamaki and [Name] look down to the small black cat curled up in Tamaki's lap. "Little one was hiding at the top of the cage, luckily no one noticed little one's existence so I have a company." Tamaki giggles and keeps petting the tiny kitten, then her laugh changes into a dejected smile.
"Until one day... The Young Master decided to force himself on me, making the Elder Master think it was my fault for seducing his son..."
This recalls [Name] of the identical victimization scenario he experienced in the past. [Name] recalls how his professor continued to touch her, but one of his classmates was held to blame for luring him. Luckily, she had plenty of proof to convict his former professor. The professor was consequently dismissed and placed on a blacklist, making it impossible for him to work at any college or institution. "That must....be hard for you...isn't it?" Tamaki giggles slightly when [Name] asks in a quiet voice.
"But it's alright. Apparently, the little one resisted the master right away and fled when he had beaten me to death. I'm not sure if the little one is still alive. But knowing this, the little one must be fed with negative emotions. And become Bakeneko..." [Name] could feel Tamaki's anguish and couldn't help but look down to where the cat was lying—perhaps more accurately, where his cat was curled up on his lap, purring.
Like it knows how sad you are.
"Will you help me, [Name]-san?"
[Name] heard Tamaki pose a question, and he immediately snapped out of his reverie.
"Pardon?"
"Will you help me? So I can find my peace..."
Tamaki asks, bowing where her head is touching the ground to [Name] who watches in surprise. "I just.... Want to rest in peace..." [Name]'s gaze becomes soft at Tamaki's request and has a stern look, determined to help this poor soul. "I'm sure you did the same thing to others so you can trust my husband. He will do the rest..." Tamaki raised her head, smiling as tears of happiness streamed down from her eyes.
"Thank you, [Name]-san..."
