After school, Kie and Sarah go back to Kies house, while John b and pope go to the chateau.
When they get to chateau, they find JJ out on the dock with a rod in his hand and a beer next to him on the floor.
"Yo jayjo" John b calls out
"Yo" JJ shouts back
John b and pope make it a little closer to the dock
"What are you doing man" John b asks
"What's it look like I'm doin?" JJ says
"How many of those have you had" pope asks once they get to him
"Not a lot" he says "why?"
"Just wondering"
"You going to school with us tomorrow right" John b asks in a concerned tone
"Yes bro why are y'all on my dick for no reason" JJ asks, getting an attitude
"We're not" John b says defensively "just worried about you man"
"We'll don't be, alright" JJ says, casting again "I'm fine"
"You sure" John b asks
"Yes bro"
There was a pause of awkward silence
"I Talked to Kie today-"
"Alright yk what" JJ cuts him off , getting annoyed and reeling his rod.
"Look all I'm saying-"
"Blah blah I don't care" JJ says while walking passed him back to the porch.
"JJ come one man just listen to me"
"I really don't care"
"Yes you do"
"I really don't"
JJ makes his way to the porch and goes inside leaving his rod against the wall.
"JJ come on stop acting like you don't miss her" pope says
"I don't need to miss her, we're still friends" JJ says as if it was completely normal.
"Come on JJ have y'all even talked since you called things off?" John b asks following him into the kitchen
"I haven't seen her" JJ shrugs
"Why didn't you go to school today" John b interrogates
"Because I didn't feel like it dam leave me alone" JJ says while walking into the guest bedroom and shutting the door.
John b and pope just looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
They left him alone for the rest of the night. JJ occasionally leaving and walking outside to think.
The next morning John b made sure that JJ went to school with them. He basically had to drag him to the van. And once they got to school, JJ tried to convince him to let him leave. But he didn't.
They met up with pope and walked through the court yard where they eventually met up with Sarah and Kie.
"Hey guys" Sarah said to all of them.
JJ stood there with his hands in his pockets looking everywhere but in Kies direction. Kie kept trying to make eye contact with him though.
Everyone was awkward watching there interaction.
"Hey JJ" Kie said, squinting with her hand over her eyes to block the morning sun.
"Oh, hey" he says casually, finally making eye contact but quickly looking away.
