All of her family left and JJ stayed the night again after the party. He couldn't stop thinking about maisey and how her mom was going to affect her for the rest of her life. He felt bad but was helpless over the situation.
He fell asleep with Kie on the couch. She still wasn't feeling good and they both didn't know why. They just assumed it was something she had ate or some kind of stomach bug.
The next day they woke up and went to school and life went on as normal.
Pope updated everyone and told them that him and Cleo were starting to talk again and he was very excited about that.
After school, Kie got permission from her parents, and they all went over to the chateau to hang out.
"You want a beer?" JJ asked Kie from the fridge
"No thanks" Kie said, disgusted, while on the couch.
"Why not?" He asked, curiously
"Even just the thought of beer right now makes me want to throw up." Kie said
"You still don't feel good?" He asked, concerned as he made his way over to her.
She shook her head no
"Wait Kie, what's wrong?" Sarah asked, confused
"She's been sick for like a week now" JJ explained
"it's really been more than a week, but it just started to get worse" Kie added
Sarah looked at her a little scared. Then looked at JJ.
"Kie.. can I talk to you a sec?" Sarah asked casually gesturing to John bs room.
"Sure?" Kie got up and followed her, and so did JJ
"Not you" Sarah said, stopping JJ from going into his room
"What? Why not?"he asked, being nosey
"Because" sarah said, shutting the door in his face "girl stuff"
JJ rolled his eyes and went back into the living room with pope and John b.
"Kiara, please tell me you've started your period" Sarah said in a whisper as she looked at Kie with a serious face
"Not yet" Kie said "why?"
Sarah just looked at her
"Sarah, I'm not pregnant" Kie said, folding her arms.
"Your late, and your nauseous" Sarah listed "tell me that doesn't sound familiar"
"Sarah, there is no way I could be pregnant." Kie said. "We use condoms... usually"
"What do you mean, Usually?" Sarah said, her eyes widen
"I mean we've done it a couple times without them, but that was forever ago." Kie explained "I'm telling you Sarah, I'm NOT pregnant"
"Then why are you sick?" Sarah argued
"I dunno, sometimes people just feel sick. It doesn't always mean anything" Kie argued her accusation "and I'm feeling better now anyways, let's just go back out"
Sarah wasn't really done with the conversation but they went back into the living room anyways.
"What'd y'all talk about?" JJ asked Kie as soon as she came back in the living room
"Don't worry about it" she said and walked outside
He followed her and all the pogues went out to the dock to fish. JJ had a fishing pole in his hands and leaned on the side of the rail.
