6. CHILDREN OF GOD

Meditating on the Scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we can begin to comprehend and understand God's love for all of us and also the entire universe. God reveals to his children His plans and future for humanity and His Creation.

 

We will be reading through the Bible and see what God truly says about Foretelling Our Future.

Faith and Assurance

(Genesis 1:1-2; John 1:1-5)

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for

and the certainty of what we do not see.

This is why the ancients were commended.

By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God's command,

so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

2Timothy 2:7

Consider what I say, and the Lord
give thee understanding in all things.

a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth,

is come, he will guide you into all truth:

for he shall not speak of himself;

but whatsoever he shall hear,

that shall he speak:

and he will show you things to come.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

I call heaven and earth to record
this day against you,
that I have set before you
life and death,
blessing and cursing:

therefore choose life,
that both thou and
thy seed may live:

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,

and that thou mayest obey his voice,

and that thou mayest cleave unto him:

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God:

but those things which are revealed belong

unto us and to our children forever,

that we may do all the words of this law.

Your future is determined by your relationship with God.

Are you a child of God or a child of the devil?

John 3:3;16-18

Jesus answered and said to him,

"Truly, truly, I say to you,

unless one is born again

he cannot see the kingdom of God."

16-18

"For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish, but have eternal life.

For God did not send the Son
into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.

He who believes in Him is not judged;

he who does not believe
has been judged already,
because he has not believed
in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.

Revelation 3:19

Those whom I love,
I reprove and discipline;
therefore be zealous and repent.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things
work together for good
to them that love God,
to them who are the called
according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 24:6

For I will set mine eyes
upon them for good,
and I will bring them
again to this land:
and I will build them,
and not pull them down;
and I will plant them,
and not pluck them up.

Proverbs 21:5

The thoughts of the diligent
tend only to plenteousness;
but of every one that
is hasty only to want.

Acts 20:35

I have shewed you all things,
how that so labouring
ye ought to support the weak,
and to remember the words
of the Lord Jesus, how he said,

It is more blessed
to give than to receive.

Nehemiah 8:10

of the LORD is your strength.

YOUR FUTURE BEHAVIOR:

Luke 6:35-36; 45-49

love ye your enemies, and do good,
and lend, hoping for nothing again;
and your reward shall be great,
and ye shall be the children
of the Highest: for he is kind unto
the unthankful and to the evil.  *35

Be ye therefore merciful,

as your Father also is merciful.  *36

A good man out of the good treasure

for of the abundance of the heart

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord,
and DO not the things which I say?

He is like a man which built a house,
and digged deep, and laid
the foundation on a rock:

But he that heareth, and doeth not,
is like a man that without a foundation
built a house upon the earth;
against which the stream did beat vehemently,
and immediately it fell;
and the ruin of that house was great. *49

2 Chronicles 31:10

And Azariah the chief priest
of the house of Zadok answered him,
and said, Since the people began
to bring the offerings
into the house of the LORD,
we have had enough to eat,
and have left plenty:
for the LORD hath blessed his people;
and that which is left
is this great store.
