7. CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL

Deuteronomy 30:17-18 -- KJV

But if thine heart turn away,
so that thou wilt not hear,
but shalt be drawn away,
and worship other gods,
and serve them;  *17

I denounce unto you this day,
that ye shall surely perish,
and that ye shall not prolong
your days upon the land,
whither thou passest over Jordan
to go to possess it.  *18

Are you a child of God or a child of the devil?

God's Judgment

2 Kings 2:24
When he turned around and saw them,
he called God's judgment down on them.
Two female bears came out of the woods
and ripped forty-two of the boys to pieces.

John 3:3; 16-21
Jesus answered and said to him,
"Truly, truly, I say to you,
unless one is born again
he cannot see the kingdom of God."  *3

For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.  *16

For God sent not his Son
into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world
through him might be saved.  *17

He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe
has been judged already,
because he has not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God.  *18

This is the judgment,

that the Light has come
into the world, and men
loved the darkness
rather than the Light,
for their deeds were evil.  *19

For everyone who does evil
hates the Light, and does not come
to the Light for fear that
his deeds will be exposed.  *20

But he who practices the truth
comes to the Light, so that his deeds
may be manifested as
having been wrought in God."  *21

Psalms 1:4-6

The ungodly are not so:
but are like the chaff
which the wind driveth away. *4

Therefore the ungodly
shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation
of the righteous.  *5

For the LORD knoweth the way
of the righteous: but the way
of the ungodly shall perish.  *6

Romans 2:5-6

But because of your stubbornness
and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath
for yourself in the day of wrath
and revelation of the
righteous judgment of God,
who will render to each person
according to his deeds:

1 Corinthians 11:30-32

For this reason many among you
are weak and sick, and a number sleep.
But if we judged ourselves rightly,
we would not be judged.
But when we are judged,
we are disciplined by the Lord
so that we will not be condemned
along with the world.

Luke 6:24-26, 46, 49

But woe unto you that are rich!
for ye have received your consolation.  *24

Woe unto you that are full!
for ye shall hunger.
Woe unto you that laugh now!
for ye shall mourn and weep.  *25

Woe unto you, when all men
shall speak well of you!

But he that heareth, and doeth not,
is like a man that without a foundation
built an house upon the earth;
