Chapter 16

TAPPING his fingers against his table while doing his work, naisip na ni Leo na hindi na siya pwedeng hatid-sundo ng kapatid niya. His sister was now working as a freelancer on different companies, and at the same time managing their Café.

He's still not sure if he'll get a driver's licence or not.

"Apartment…" bulong niya sa sarili.

He can pretty much live by himself, he has money to sustain his needs, he knows basic cooking. Leo won't need to ask his parents for another car.

Sumulyap muna siya sa orasan bago tumayo at nagpunta sa kwarto ng kapatid niya. It's still early, kampante siya na gising pa ang Ate niya.

Leo sighed softly and knocked on her room's door. He used to sleep here, but ever since they started working, hindi na siya masyado na tumatambay sa kwarto ng kapatid niya. Isa pa, ang mga libro lang naman nito ang habol niya. Which he could get if he wants to.

"Ate?" he softly called her.

"You need something, bunso?" Tanong kaagad ng kapatid niya nang mabuksan nito ang pinto.

"I know you're busy but… pwede mo ba akong samahan na maghanap ng apartment malapit sa School?" Leo asked.

"Leave it to me. Ako na ang bahala," sabi nito.

"Ate, I want an apartment with two bedrooms." Leo demanded.

Umarko ang kilay ng kapatid niya at umayos nang tayo, saka ito humalukipkip.

"Two bedrooms? Why?" Pisces, his sister, strictly asked.

Maliit siyang ngumiti sa kapatid. "The other room is for Rayos."

"May balak ka ba na itanan ang dalagang Clemente, Leo? Hindi ako papayag," mariin na sabi ng kapatid niya. Pinandilatan pa siya ito ng mata.

Mabilis siyang umiling sa kapatid. That wasn't part of his plan, advance lang ito mag-isip!

"No, of course not! I just need a spare room para incase na mag-stay si Rayos sa apartment, may matutulugan ito." He explained quickly.

His sister scoffed. "Ayos mo ah? May kwarto ang girlfriend mo sa apartment mo, ako na kapatid mo, wala?" sarkastiko na tanong nito sa kanya. He was about to defend himself when he caught his sister smile. She was teasing him.

"You can sleep in my room. Sanay ka naman na katabi mo ako," sabi niya.

"Oo na, nagbibiro lang. Tulog ka na. Enrollment niyo bukas 'diba?" Pisces asked.

Tinaboy siya nito pabalik sa kwarto niya. Leo groaned when Pisces literally tucked him on his bed and kissed his forehead before bidding her 'good night'.

HOLDING HIS Enrollment form, bumalik lahat kay Leo ang ginawa niya noong nag-enroll siya ng Senior high. Rayos was with him and so was her twin, Vyrlle.

"Bunso? Marketing ang kukunin mo 'no?" His sister asked him. Sinamahan siya nito dahil may personal agenda ito sa School. "I think you really should take that course, you're so good at it, plus… we can help our parents, kapag nag-decide na ang mga ito na itayo ang Marketing agency nila."

Leo sighed and only nod his head. Rayos took Psychology and her twin took business course. Lumayo siya sa kapatid at tahimik na nag-fill up ng form.

"Leo, amin na muna si Cay ah?" Nicha, the twin's cousin, asked.

Hindi pa siya nakakatango pero nahila na nito ang girlfriend niya. They didn't even talk even just for a second. Napailing na lang siya at pina-process na ang form. He waited for his certificate of registration before leaving the school.
