"Episode 3x04: Unleashed"
------------------------
Victoria walked down the stairs and she went to the fridge, opening the door and grabbing a jar of pineal glands. She pried off the lid and tossed three into her mouth before she screwed the lid back on, and she was closing the fridge door. "Are those glands actually crucial to your survival?" Cora asked as she came down the stairs and Victoria looked up at her, as she was eating the pineal glands like candy.
"Yeah. I mean, I can technically live off of animal ones as well, but human ones give me more energy. I have a very nearly unlimited supply, so I can eat as many as I want." Victoria noted and Cora started playing loud music, as Victoria watched as her aunt was working out and she was still weak, at least a few days away from healing.
Even if she couldn't see it like she could, Victoria could smell it even without using her eyes. Being locked up for a full three months, in a bank vault, that was made almost entirely of hecatolite, it was brutal for werewolves.
Especially for born wolves. For them, not being able to feel the moon, it was like having a red-hot iron pressed into their skin.
"You're still really weak from the ordeal, Aunt Cora, you should really be resting." Victoria suggested softly as she was typing away on her laptop computer, that she had gotten herself for school.
"I can rest finally, but only after I have gone after them." Cora replied stubbornly and Victoria sighed, as she was shaking her head a bit.
"Stop." Derek had once again appeared out of nowhere, which was a bad sort of habit, that Victoria was finally now getting used to. "You're not done healing." Derek pointed out and Cora was shaking her head.
"Yeah? Well, I'm done lying around." Cora retorted and she quickly was starting to do pushups on the floor.
"Then sit." Derek suggested with a tone that said very clearly, that it was really, not actually a suggestion, at all to begin with.
"Are you gonna help me go after them?" Cora asked and Derek glanced over his shoulder at Victoria.
"I will. But only, if you rest and heal first, before we do. I beat you up the other night and I feel terrible about it, but you can't push yourself this hard."
Cora grunted in pain as Derek had pushed one of her hands out, from under her shoulder to unbalance her and she was attacking him with a fury.
"Come on, fight back!" Cora shouted loudly at her older brother, as, he had not touched her, he had only blocked her moves. "I came back for this? I can't believe I got my ass thrown in a vault for three months for you."
"He has been doing the best that he can, Cora, this hasn't really been easy for him either." Cora glanced over at Casey, who was walking into the loft and she sat down next to Victoria.
"All those rumors I heard. A powerful new Alpha, one of the Hales, building a pack. Do you know how long I waited to hear something like that? Do you have any idea how it felt to find out that you were alive?" Cora demanded as Derek stared at her for a long minute and when he spoke, his voice was almost steady.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you." Derek murmured and Casey looked up at the sound of the alarm. "Casey, get out of the way." Derek said at once as Casey was backing up, and, she was quickly grabbing a gun in each hand.
Cora was lunging for Ennis, who easily slammed Cora into the ground and Victoria shut the laptop, and her eyes blazed golden. "Tori, no!" Derek shouted and Victoria looked at him as she was backing up towards him with a low snarl. "Stay behind me." He said with a low growl and Ennis snarled as Kali advanced with a loud, terrible growl.
