"3x19: Letharia Vulpina (ii)"
--------------
It had been two days since the incident at the hospital, only a day and a half since Victoria had come out of the trance that had shown her mom to her again.
Victoria looked over at the door to their classroom, to see that Sheriff Stilinski was now standing there with another deputy next to him. "Victoria Hale-Douglas?" Sheriff Stilinski asked and although he knew her name full well, he was also clearly there on official business.
"That's me." Victoria said quietly and a moment later, she swallowed. "That is me." She answered slightly louder and Sheriff Stilinski motioned her over and she swallowed.
"You are going to have to come today with us, kiddo, I am really sorry." Sheriff Stilinski said and then suddenly, Victoria was listening to his heart beating loudly.
"What happened?" Victoria asked quietly and Sheriff Stilinski looked down at her, right before he sighed softly at the words.
"I'll drive you to the station." He said and Victoria shook her head at him.
"I'd much rather run." Victoria said softly and she was taking off running into the streets. Victoria was running quickly towards the Sheriff Station as she walked in, as she was shaking her head. "Derek?" She asked quietly and he looked up at her quiet voice, as he was handcuffed to a bench right next to Chris Argent, of all people. "What... What did..." Victoria walked over and a moment later in front of her and the blocking her way to them, Casey was shaking her head.
"I'm sorry kid, but you can't hug a suspect." Casey murmured as she was looking at Victoria, who was shaking her head.
"Wh-what are they in for?" Victoria whispered and Casey sighed. "Casey, what the hell are they in for?" She asked harshly and Casey looked over at Derek and Argent.
"Suspected murderers of the man of Yakuza named Katashi. He is also well known by his nickname, due to his own unique prosthetic. He also went by the name of Silverfinger." Casey said and she sighed. "I swear to god, Victoria, I am going to do everything... That I can to get them out of this, but, right now, I can't let my... past get in the way of my job." Casey said and Victoria looked at her, before her eyes went to the chain around Casey's neck.
"You're betraying the people, who took you in when your family threw you out!" Victoria snapped and at the words, Casey flinched and her eyes at the words, they were welling up.
"Tori, it's not her fault." Derek murmured and Casey turned around and swiftly, she walked away from the raging teenager. "You have to apologize to her, she's doing every right thing that she can without..."
"But clearly she isn't, or else you would be out of here by now." She growled under her breath and Derek sighed.
"You beating her up for it, isn't going to make it any better. She is under an immense amount of pressure, you're not helping her. You just need to calm yourself down, now, just, before... You start to lose control and start to shift in front of everyone. Control yourself before you lose it." Derek said and she was looking at him.
"Fine." Victoria snapped quietly and she looked over at Casey, who was at her desk as Victoria saw that she had a knife in her hand. Victoria saw that Casey was scratching, a very familiar symbol into her desk.
Until suddenly the phones were all going off in a panic and Casey looked around at everyone. "Everyone, get yourselves out of here now! Everyone, get out!" She called out and everyone was racing out.
Victoria lunged for Derek and Argent quickly along with Casey, who looked around. "Everyone out!" Casey called out over and over, until they were all running for the doors.
"Get down!" Derek quickly shoved both Casey and Victoria away from them and the bomb went off, as he had tackled Chris onto the bench.
The explosion rocked the station and then whoever was in the explosion, it was horrific.
Casey was spitting blood as she was shuddering, as she felt blood leaking from multiple wounds.
"Casey." She could hear Derek speaking to her, saying her name as no one argued when he went down to help her, as he was gently holding her arm and he took her pain away. "Just stay awake, they're bringing multiple ambulances. I can hear them, I swear to God, I already can hear all of them, I hear them coming." He said and she was nodding.
"I'm awake, not dead yet." Casey pointed out and Derek looked at her with a shake of his head. "Victoria?" It was half question, half choke and she turned her head, again, spitting blood to the side.
"I'm okay." Victoria whispered and she was holding one of Casey's hands and she was sobbing, as she took the pain away. "You should've gone. You should have run." Victoria whispered and Casey scoffed.
"Once you start running, you don't stop. Right, Derek?" Casey coughed and Derek sighed, as he quickly was nodding at the words. "Besides, how could I explain to Tye and Beats... That I left two of the few remainin' members of their family, in the middle of a huge explosion?" Casey whispered and her eyes were closing.
"Keep your eyes open, come on, Casey." Derek pleaded and Casey was shaking as she was clenching his hand and he looked at her. "Casey, open your eyes. Please." He said as she was forcing her eyes open, they were open barely.
"Get her into the ambulance! Go now!" Sheriff Stilinski ordered and Derek, despite his own injuries was picking up Casey as he was carrying her outside and into the ambulance.
Victoria looked over at Derek, who was shaking his head. "Ride with her, Tori, or else she'll have no one." Derek murmured and she nodded.
"Okay." Victoria whispered and he looked at her, before she was climbin' into the back of the ambulance and he was disappearing back into the blown up station to help, however he could.
