"3x17: Silverfinger"
----------
"Victoria." Derek was shaking her gently and Victoria woke up with a roar, after Tye had stamped down hard on Victoria's tail to trigger the healing process.
Victoria roared at the sudden surge of terrible pain and she was winding her tail up against herself with a snarl. "If you ever do that to me again, I'll fucking kill you!" She snarled loudly at him and Tye raised his eyebrows at her, as her tail was tucking back under her jacket.
"Don't stamp on her tail, Tye, you know better. So, don't be an idiot and do it." Casey muttered quietly from where she was sitting next to the heater, shivering like she was frozen solid. Victoria moved over to Casey and sat next to her quickly, moving her arms around her and they were both warming up faster now that the heater was turned up.
Tye went to work, Peter had left after checking up on all of them, while Isaac, Scott, Kira, the twins and the rest of the pack had already left. "Your tail okay?" Derek asked and Victoria was winding it up, lashing it back and forth and then leaving it alone, as it moved of its' own accord.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Victoria mumbled and she sighed. "It's more than pain." She said and Casey glanced over at her, recognizing the look on her face. "Can I skip?" She asked quietly and Derek sighed.
"Get a few hours of sleep, then see how you feel." Derek said and Victoria nodded slightly at the fair judgement, as Victoria got up onto her feet and she was walking up the stairs and she got to her room, when she heard them talking.
"It make sense, if that's the case. I mean, she's a teenager all the same. But the tail thing, I've only seen Kit act like that when someone grabbed his tail and I had to rip him off the person who dared to do it."
"Seriously? Jesus Christ, how can we help her?"
"If I had an answer to that, I would have talked to Victoria about it already. I don't know how we can help her, this is a werelion thing. I wish Laura was here, we could ask her what to do about it, she knew Kit better than anyone here."
"You and Kit have to sort your shit out, Derek, I'm really serious now. You're going to tear this poor kid apart and I am going to have to watch it happen, because if you guys don't sort this out on your own, then I will watch over her like I did Tye, until you guys are done or until one of you is dead. But actually... Maybe we can talk to her."
"What?"
"Laura, maybe we can talk to her."
"Casey, what do you know that I don't?"
"Peter, when he killed her Laura originally last year. Peter took her claws and I took them out of one of his cars. When he found out, he was pissed at first. But I was Laura's best friend outside of you guys, he understood eventually."
"Casey, you seriously have Laura's claws?"
"Yeah."
Victoria's eyes widened as she heard the words and she was walking into her room, silently closing the door behind her. "You all right?" Victoria jumped at the sudden appearance of her cousin, as Beatrice was standing in the corner next to her window.
"Please don't do that." Victoria said as she turned on the lights and she sat on her bed. "How much did you hear?" She asked and Beatrice sat down next to her, moving an arm across her shoulders.
"I heard enough to know that you needed someone to talk to." Beatrice admitted and she brought out her claws, absentmindedly looking at them. "If you wanted to talk to your mom, I could do it." Beatrice said and her claws were sinking back into her fingernails and they were all gone in a second.
"You'd need the claws first." Victoria pointed out and a knock came at the door. "Yeah?" She asked and Derek opened the door. "What's up?" She asked and Derek tossed something to her and Victoria caught the small jar in her hands. Victoria looked at it and there were ten claws, the claws that Casey had kept for awhile, judging by the old scent on them.
"I have Mom's, you should get to keep Laura's with you." Derek said and Victoria silently looked up at him, before she took five of the claws out and she stood up, holding the five of them out to Derek. "Why are you giving these to me?" He asked.
"Because you still carry the guilt of not following her back here." Victoria said and she put them into his hand and she closed his fist around them. "Don't lose them, we won't have any to spare now." She said and he moved his arm around her in a hug. "Also, you gave Grandma's claws to Peter." Victoria pointed out and Derek was shaking his head. "Now get out of here." She said and she punched him gently, as Derek was shaking his head and he left the room.
"You should probably get some sleep before you do this." Beatrice said as she was nodding at the jar in Victoria's hands. "It takes a lot of energy out of the person who is the subject of it V, but it is just as bad for the person who is inserting the claws." Beatrice pointed out and Victoria yawned loudly.
"All right. I'm gonna sleep, especially if I need to deal with school tomorrow." Victoria said with another jaw-breaking yawn and Beatrice chuckled at her as Victoria lay down on one side of the bed and Beatrice was on the other, as they faced away from each other and in moments, they were both asleep and snoring.
--------
Victoria groaned loudly as she could hear Casey and Derek cooking in the kitchen already and Victoria rolled over to the side and she fell off of the bed, face-first onto the floor. "Ow." She was mumbling as she picked herself up off of the floor and she was shaking her head to clear it.
"Hey Tori, I'm headed to Argent's to get an explanation. You coming or what?" Casey called out and Victoria grunted, quickly jumping in the shower and then jumping out after she was done as she tossed her clothes on and she was jumping down the stairs and skipped most of them. "That was fast." Casey noted.
"You were marked too, why?" Victoria asked as she noticed the mark behind Casey's ear and Casey was shrugging in confusion. "Probably because you were so dead-set on defending us, against the dark."
"Or maybe, because she was doing ridiculous flips and kicks last night that would have once rivaled Derek's athleticism." Tye remarked and he was trudging in after an overnight and he was completely out of it. "Seriously Case, in 7 years I've never seen you move that fast. Well, except for maybe when Laura showed up on our door." Tye said and Casey shrugged at the words.
"You're saying that they thought she was supernatural?" Derek confirmed as he was walking past Tye and going to get more coffee, despite the fact that coffee did almost nothing for any supernatural creatures, since their bodies always burned it off too fast.
"Maybe. It seems likely I mean, have you ever seen her move that fast?" Tye asked and Derek's eyebrows lifted. "Never mind, forget that I even asked." He said and Casey spewed her coffee everywhere, sputtering with laughter and Victoria was laughing right along with her and Tye looked annoyed, while Derek was laughing right along with the girls.
"That isn't what he meant, Tye." Casey said as she was laughing. "Anyways, Tori, we are late to the meeting with Argent, let's go." She said and Victoria popped some of her pineal glands into her mouth and she was following Casey out of the loft.
