Haein woke up at 07:00 in the morning as usual. But she still felt drowsy due to lack of sleep. She went to the bathroom to wash her sleepiness away. After washing up, she went to her closet to pick something to wear at the company. She had to look presentable but not overdressed either. She picked an outfit from the new clothes that Sana helped her buy- a purple crop top with baggy ripped jeans.

Haein and Chan had breakfast and left for JYPE. They didn't talk much on the breakfast table. The ride to the company was silent until Chan spoke up.
"Haein?" Haein looked at him waiting for him to talk. "I... I'm sorry," Chan finally said looking her in the eye.
"Why are you sorry?" she asked tilting her head a little.
"It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left you alone at night. I failed to keep my promise. I promised to protect you. You always have to stay alone at home because I'm too busy. Even at late night sometimes. I can barely make time for you. Despite all that you still never complained. I thought I could keep my professional and personal life separate. But I couldn't. My idol life has started to affect you. I would never be able to forgive myself if anything happened to you," his words pained Haein a lot.
"Chris, you're overthinking. Whatever happened wasn't your fault at all. Look, I'm perfectly fine. Nothing bad happened to me. I have no complaints with you working all the time. I'm grateful for everything you've done till this date. I know you're working hard to take care of me. I should be sorry for burdening you with my responsibilities. I really love and adore you as a father figure. You're doing everything perfectly. Please never doubt yourself like that," Haein gave him a comforting smile.
Chan found himself smiling at her words too. He was grateful for her understanding. But at the same time, he felt pained. Haein had been through a lot since her childhood which forced her to act mature for her age and Chan hated that. He wanted her to live a proper healthy childhood. Though Chan did his best to give her the love of a family, he knew he was lacking a lot.
Arriving at the company, Chan went straight to the meeting room where his manager had called the staff including JYP himself to talk about the whole situation. He made Haein sit right outside the meeting room telling her not to go anywhere.
Chan told everyone about the whole incident. Jinyoung ordered the staff to continue further investigation on the whole situation. He also suggested that Chan should keep a proper eye on Haein as well.
After the meeting, Chan took Haein went to their practice room where his members waited. Haein was a bit nervous as it was her first time meeting such big personas. Chan entered the practice room first and Haein followed.
The Stray kids members put all of their eyes on them. "Guys, look who's here today," Chan smiled as he introduced Haein to the members.
"Hello," Haein bowed at them. "It's a pleasure to meet you." The members also bowed and greeted her back happily. Haein's social anxiety was starting to kick in. Chan noticed it and held her hand giving it an assuring squeeze letting her know that he was right there for her. That made her look at him and she calmed down. She felt much more confident.
