CHAPTER THREE:

I swallow, trying to get the knot out of my throat as Alice reaches over and wraps her frings around my wrist tightly. I'm not sure if she meant to keep me in place or if she meant to reassure me.

I hear the steps grow closer before stopping and the voice spoke again, "Aren't you happy we did not grant your earlier request for death, young Edward? It would have been such a waste and all for nothing!" He tutted like he was both mocking and chastising the stupid boy.

"Yes, Aro." Edward answers harshly through gritted teeth.

"What's happening?" I heard my cousin ask, sounding scared out of her mind.

"Aro can read every thought and memory you've ever had through one touch." He answered her gently before his voice was one again rather harsh, making me frown as he spoke, "and now you know everything, so get on with it."

Moron say what now?!

I bit my lip kinda hard to keep from snapping at the idiot or asking questions, wanting to remain unnoticed for as long as possible. Something told me not to yet.

"You are quite the soul reader yourself, Edward. Although, you can not read Bella's thoughts. It does make me rather curious to see if she is immune to my gift. May I?" He replied and asked.

There was a couple of moments of silence before he let out a strange but endearing laugh that sounded slightly psychotic and he said, "I see nothing. Amazing. That does make my wonder if she is immune to all of our gifts. Jane dear, Shall we?"

"No!" Edward hissed before there was a thud like a body hit the floor and an odd choking sound.

I flinched next to Alice and let out a light squeak which must have drawn the attention to me. I felt several pairs of eyes on me so I gave up and sighed, deciding to draw my eyes away from the floor. I looked over and saw Edward flailing on the ground like a fish out of water and the young blonde girl from before, Jane, had her eyes zeroed in on him. I snorted, finding amusement in this situation before face palming as my face heated up in a furious blush.

"Who is this?" Aro asked, pulling my attention from Edward over to him.

I gasped a little when my green eyes met his crimson and felt that same odd tug in my chest like something had snapped inside of me. Aro was tall, probably six feet or more and had long straight black hair that looked like silk. It was parted to the side and clopped away from his face. His form was well built but not overly so and he wore an expensive looking black suit with a familiar cloak round his shoulders and a golden V pendant hanging around his neck.

The look on his stupidly beautiful face is what got me though. He went from curious to entranced like he was awestruck by something the second our eyes met.

His gaze flickered away from me, though I kept my eyes on him, and he called out, "Jane."

"Yes Master?" Jane's sweet voice asked.

"Enough, Dear one." He commanded, then turned to look over his shoulder and spoke in Italian, "Fratelli, il nostro amico e arrivato." (Brothers, our mate has arrived.)

His gaze returned to me as he took a step closer. Two other figures appeared at his side and I jumped a little, my eyes widening. How the FUCK? They teleported!

"Bellisima!" A familiar, slightly raspy, deep voice came from my left, making my head whip around in recognition. I gasped as my eyes once again connected with another crimson gaze and the same snapping feeling happened again. He gave me a gentle smile and despite my confusion I smiled back. (beautiful)
