CHAPTER FOURTEEN

By the time I felt better and the twins had returned from their hunt, the sun was up and it was time to actually start the day.

I chose to dress in something a little more flattering today and Jane helped by choosing the outfit for me. She ended up picking a cobalt blue shirt that showed a tiny bit of cleavage and had beautiful, lace sleeves that flare out and flowed elegantly. She chose some black ripped jeans that flattered me nicely without making me uncomfortable and a black pair of sensible heels. I chose to wear my hair up today and tied it back into a ponytail, exposing my neck and giving the illusion that I'm taller than. I actually am.

A glance in the mirror told me that although I dressed nice and I looked better than I had yesterday, I still looked sick. There was nothing to be done though as I'd have to meet with Charlie in a couple of hours and I had a coven meeting to attend beforehand.

Alec escorted me down the stairs to the second floor where the meeting had been set up around a large table that looked to be covered in maps.

"There are several spots that would suffice for an ambush! If we can get more information from the Cullens on what they are after, we can lure them and take them out without issue." I heard Caius's voice through the door just before Alec pushed it open for me and led me inside.

"My love, are you feeling any better?"Aro asks, moving to my side immediately.

I offer him a small smile and answer, "I'm doing as well as I can, Love, don't make a fuss. Now tell me what's happening and maybe my gift can help make sense of it."

He led me over to the table where Marcus joined my side and placed a kiss to the side of my head.

"We were discussing the layout of the local area and trying to figure out where the fight should take place so that we can have an advantage and reduce any possible casualties." He explained, motioning toward the maps on the table.

My eyes scanned them as I felt a pair of eyes watching me and I resisted the urge to look up.

"Here," I pointed at an area on the map, letting my gift take over my senses, "there is a clearing that's sheltered by thick forest. It's too far from humans to lead to possible human casualties and it's basically a funnel. They will be forced into a position that will weaken their defensive position and make it easier to organize an ambush once they have all entered the area."

Caius leaned in and examined the map where I pointed and nodded, "She is right. It's perfect."

"Call the Cullens. We will be needing their assistance. The leader has more than we know about and a few are gifted." I mumbled, my gaze becoming unfocused as I let myself get lost, " The Cullen boy must die. He is a traitor. He only seeks blood."

I snap out of it and clutch my head as a sharp pain shoots through it, not used to my gift being so strong or accurate.

"Are you alright, il mio amore?" Caius asks quietly as I sway a little, getting dizzy from a rush of shit I didn't expect hitting my brain.

"I-I'm okay. Just. There's so much. It's so different now." I stutter, trying to find the words to explain it, "I can see so many things. I'm trying to focus on just one at a time."

"Take your time, Love. Don't push too hard. We don't know what your power could do to you in your current state." Aro said, rubbing gentle circles on my back.

I straighten myself out and lean back into his chest and grab his hand, cautiously as I force my mind to center on one outcome at a time.

"They are tracking Isabella's scent. Edward killed the leader's mate and they are seeking revenge." I mumbled out loud so the others would know what's happening, "The wolves know we are in town and they are not happy but will not attack unless someone feeds in the area. They are still unaware of my status currently. There is a young girl. A newborn among the army. She is the mate to a member of our coven. She will not fight."
