Finally holiday time. Three weeks away with Rúben. I've been thinking about this since we booked the trip. I need the rest and the company couldn't be better.
"So? First time on a jet?", asks Rúben.
"No, sorry", I giggle.
"Damn it. Who wooed you hiring one for you? I'll fight him!"
"I would love to see you fighting Chanel, to be honest".
When we reach the seats, he makes me sit on his lap instead of on the seat next to his.
"So, no first about the jet. But what about...you know?", he says, a cheeky look on his face.
"Well, I almost did that but it's a bit of an embarrassing story".
"Now I want to hear it", he says, making me roll my eyes.
"When I was 16 we were flying with our class to Tenerife and my boyfriend at the time really wanted that to be the trip where we had sex. So he took me to the plane's toilet to mess around a bit and the teacher noticed and stopped us before we even started to do anything".
"I can't blame him for trying but that plan was terrible".
"Yeah, and he broke up with me a day later so he didn't get any".
"Poor guy goes about life without knowing what a big loss that was".
I chuckle at that. "It was for the best. He would have been a terrible choice to lose my virginity".
"Well, if you didn't get a first then and didn't get it after that...".
"Are you trying to tell me you want to join the mile-high club with me, Dias?"
"Just so we can add something to our list of firsts, you know?"
"Sure sure", I tell him, kissing him deeply. It's easy to forget you're not alone somewhere when you're in a jet rented for only two people. But we are not alone.
"Excuse me?", says the flight attendant. "You need to fasten your seatbelts. We're taking off now".
"Of course", I say, sitting on my seat and getting ready for take off.
"You're blushing", whispers Rúben, laughing.
"And it's your fault".
