"How did you convince your coach to let you stay tonight?", I ask Rúben as we make our way to my hotel.
I'm currently staying in London for fashion week and I only expected to get to see him briefly after his match against West Ham. But he gave me the best surprise by telling me he was staying for the night in London.
"They all know how moody I was the last time you were away for fashion weeks. So he's probably just expecting tonight will make me less of a pain in his ass".
I laugh, hugging his side. I still can't believe he's here. "They don't understand my needy boy needs me by his side all the time".
"I do".
Once we get to the hotel, we order some food.
"I'm not even hungry. Just tired", I complain, falling on top of Rúben and pretending I'm sleeping.
"Well, that's not a great strategy to convince me to have a quiet night", he laughs, his fingers up and down my spine.

"I've missed you", he whispers, moving my hair from my face so he can kiss my cheek.
