"Welcome back, Iseul

"Welcome back, Iseul."

I said sincerely, looking straight into her eyes. I don't know if it was just the lamp, but they kinda looked glossy.

Did she miss me, too?

I have been following her every move the entire dinner. I just can't take my eyes off her. I find her so beautiful in her olive green dress which accentuated her figure. I catch my breath every time she smiled.

I was trying to be discreet though. I don't want her to be awkward if ever she caught me.

"You cut your hair..." I said just to break the ice. She was so quiet.

"Ah, yeah." She touched her hair & smiled briefly. "It was getting in the way and I just got so impatient with it, I cut it off."

I chuckled. It was so like her to do such a thing.

"Yours is getting long. You just got out of the camp right? How was it in the Marines?" She suddenly asked.

I was a bit taken aback that she was letting our conversation go on. I thought she was about to leave.

"It's...challenging?" I laughed. "But I learned a lot. And I think I've matured?"

It was her turn to laugh. I watched her and can't help but feel nostalgic. I've missed that laugh.

"If you haven't matured, I will send you back." She jested.

"I'll do so myself," I replied. We shared another laugh that died down almost instantly. I saw her stand up straight and reached for the glass she was holding.

"Ahm, I'll go back to our table now. Nice seeing you again, Jungkook." She waved her hand and started to walk.

"Iseul..." I said before she can walk past me.

"Huh?" She stopped in her tracks a few steps from me. "What is it?"

"Ahm...are you staying?" I asked, biting my lips.

"Uh, tonight? Here? Yes, I will stay. Soohee noona gave me a room in their villa." She smiled. "I'll go ahead."

It wasn't what I was asking about. I want to know if she's staying in Korea for good. But it's also good to know that she's staying for the night.

I watched her go back to their table. I, on the other hand, started to walk around in that empty part of the garden. I needed time to think.

I've been looking forward to this day. To the day that I will see her again. I knew that it would happen because of our common friends. I knew I will talk to her again. I knew I will have a chance to try and get her back again.

For the past years, all I ever think of was to be with her again. I know I had hurt her a lot. I know that what I did left a scar on her heart. I know there's a big possibility that she will not come back to me.
