verb. to have an earnest wish to own or enjoy
I was late for work because I didn't wake up on time. I had a hard time sleeping last night. The kiss that happened between Iseul and me kept replaying in my head. What could have happened if Sungmi didn't show up? Well, I don't even have to ask. I know what will happen.
I want to take things slowly but I couldn't control my body. I have been missing Iseul for so long already. She was my last. I couldn't bring myself to do it with other girls. It's not that I've tried but I just know I wouldn't be able to.
I tried so hard not to dwell on how she looked and how she dresses whenever we meet. I dig how she looked sexy, cool, and chic. She doesn't even have to show a lot of skin but when she does...
She always had an effect on me that no one else could evoke.
"Yo, JK!" I looked up and saw Namjoon hyung walking toward me. I just arrived at the company.
"Hello, hyung. What's up?" I gave him a high five. We're all so busy lately that we haven't hung out together again. Jin hyung was still on his honeymoon while the rest were either recording or shooting content for their solo albums. Just like me.
"I heard Iseul invited Soohee and Nari for dinner later." He said while flipping through some pages in his notebook.
"Yeah, she mentioned. Are you joining them?" I asked and began to walk. He followed.
"Nah, I think it's an all-girls night out. But will wait for them to finish so your noona and I could go home together." He replied.
"Maybe I will, too," I said. "See you later?"
"Alright, see you!" He tapped my back before heading to his studio while I went to the practice room.
I was warming up when I received a message from my middle-school friends. We haven't been able to celebrate the return of Jae yet but I don't think that's doable at the moment. Jae has to attend to his daughter. Da-eun will be having her procedure tomorrow.
We ended our conversation on the note that we will see each other soon. Maybe when Jae, Raon, and Da-eun were settled already. I heard they will be moving in together. That's nice. A happy family.
I sometimes think how crazy it is whenever I see people my age settling down. Things in my life didn't progress naturally---they were a jumble of a series of events that felt normal to me, but not to others. Being an idol at an early age took a lot of things from our lives. But no regrets, I still enjoyed it and I learned a lot from it.
Having said that, being with Iseul was like an anchor to reality. It brings me back to the memories of my youth before I became an idol. It's keeping me grounded. But she also makes me be in the present. And she also makes me hopeful for the future.
"Jungkook, let's go! Let's start early so we can end early. I heard you will be recording some songs later." Our choreographer called out. I took a deep breath and stood up.
