"What are you doing here?" I asked when I saw Seojun getting inside our apartment.
We're just about to head outside. It's the day that we will be going back to Seoul.
"I'm going with you." He simply answered. I sighed, remembering the last time we saw each other.
It was at the celebration party with my team. We haven't talked much because of what happened the night before, but he still stayed and celebrated with us.
"Why?" I asked as I pull my luggage out of my bedroom. I saw Sungmi carrying Da-eun.
"We already decided on this before, Iseul. Raon also wanted me to accompany you. It's not easy to travel with a toddler." He answered patiently. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? About last time..."
I let out a sigh again. "Fine. Fine..."
"Are you all ready?" He asked.
"Almost. Just rounding up all our luggage." I answered then turned to Sungmi. "How's Da-eun, Sungmi? Do we have all her things ready for the long flight? I don't wanna cram inside the plane..."
"Don't worry, Iseul. Everything's ready. We went through the checklist last night, we should be good." Sungmi replied.
"Good, good." I nodded. "We better go so we won't be late."
"I'll just load these into the car," Seojun said and pulled two pieces of luggage outside. He went back with his driver and brought the rest of our things to the car. I took Da-eun from Sungmi. She's being restless, we haven't left the house yet!
I asked Sungmi to look through the house once more before we head out. I only plan on staying in Seoul for two months max so we didn't let go of the rent here.
"Are you all ready?" Seojun asked. I nodded. "Let's go."
Da-eun's car seat had already been set up and I placed her carefully there. Then after, we hit the road.
"When will Raon arrive in Seoul?" Seojun asked who was seated in front.
"She said next week," I answered briefly and we spent the rest of the ride to the airport in silence.
Many hours later, we found ourselves going out of Incheon International Airport. It was a long flight and thankfully, Da-eun has been cooperative. No drama whatsoever.
"How do you feel? Is it good to be back?" Seojun asked while in the car going to the apartment I rented during our stay here. Raon already let go of hers as she mostly stayed in California during her breaks.
"Yes, it is. It's home, you know?" I answered quietly. Da-eun was peacefully sleeping in my arms.
"When's the wedding?"
"The day after tomorrow."
"You should just stay with me, you didn't have to rent a place," Seojun said.
