We were watching a movie when I excused myself. I told him I will go to the bathroom but instead, I took the cake I bought earlier while he was in his studio.
"Happy birthday, Jeon Jungkook..." I greeted him as I finished singing the song and was already in front of me.
His doe eyes glistened with emotions that I couldn't help but also tear up. This is the first time that we will be celebrating his birthday together after so many years and as a couple.
"Make a wish," I whispered. He smiled at me before closing his eyes. He took a minute to say his wish quietly and when he opened his eyes, he blew the candle. "Happy birthday!"
"Thank you, babe." He said in a whisper. I put down the cake before kissing him. "I have something for you."
"Huh? It's your birthday and I am the one who has a gift?" I asked in confusion.
"Yeah. Just stay there, okay?" He said before standing up. When he came back, he was already bringing his guitar. "I think this will be released in the morning."
"What? What is going to be released?"
He only smiled at me before he started strumming. I leaned on the sofa, clutching my chest as my heart was thumping in anticipation. This isn't the first time he sang in front of me but it felt suddenly like it.
