Pedri and me started driving to his "surprise."

"Where are we going?"
I asked out of curiosity.

"If i would tell you that it wouldn't be a surprise anymore, would it?"
Pedri laughed focusing on the road.

"You know i don't like these kind of things."
I sighed.
A small smile appeared on his face.

"I think your mind is gonna change quickly once we get there."
He turned his head.
I shook my head and laughed.

"Sure."

The whole ride i was in a annoyed mood, he knew i didn't quite like surprise's.
We finally arrived.
I stepped out, i saw Pedri taking a basket with food and some towels with him.
Pedri started walking, so i just followed him.
My bad mood changed completely when i saw where we were.

The beach.

*Flashback*

It was a hot summer night, so Pedri and me decided to go to the beach.
Even tho we still are very young, our parents trusted us enough to let us go on or own.
It is a normal thing here, the whole day are children playing outside together without any adults.
We brought our ball to play a bit for fun, the thing we loved the most was to play football together on the beach.

"Ready to lose?"
Pedri asked with the biggest smile on his face.

"I never lose!"
I crossed my arms.
He laughed at my reaction.

"We will see about that."
He already started running with the ball.

"Hey that's not fair!"
I shouted at him while running after him.
Ofcourse we had no goals on the beach, so we just draw a line with our foot in the sand.
Pedri was running very fast and ofcourse he was using his dribble skills, but i caught him by surprise.

"Omg Pedri look over there!"
I pointed behind him.

"What?"
He said and turned around, falling for my trick.
I started running with the ball, towards his 'goal.'

"Hey!"
Pedri started chasing me.
But he was to late.
I was already at his line, so i took my chance to score.
I knew i couldn't celebrate long. Pedri was still chasing me but this time, with his hands full of sand.
That only meant one thing for me,

Run.

*End of flashback*

All the memories came back when i stood in front of our childhood beach.
I realized i was daydreaming when i felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you still there?"
Pedri laughed.

"Ye-yeah."
I snapped out of my thoughts.
Pedri started smiling when he saw my reaction.

"I knew you were gonna like it."
He looked in front of him.

We walked on the beach, finding a good place to settle down.
Pedri and me stopped when we found a beautiful place.
Pedri laid a towel on the sand before we sat down.
