I slowly opened my eyes, with the sun rising trough the curtains.
When i looked to my left i expected to face a pair of sleepy brown eyes but instead, i saw nothing.
The bed was empty.

After yesterday's dinner and the moment we had, i was convinced to see the the canary on my side, apparently i was wrong.

We came home yesterday, shared a few hugs and kisses, before we both fell asleep.

I took my phone and walked downstairs with the hope that he would be there.
But also, he wasn't there.
How surprising.

I decided to take breakfast, even tho it was on my own.

A hour later, and still not a single message.
I couldn't help but call him myself.

"Hello?"
I heard his voice on the other side of the phone.

"Hey."
I let out silently.

"What's wrong?"
He said with a concerning voice.

"Do you even have to ask that?"

"Look, i'm very sorry that i left without letting you know but it was a emergency."
He said.

"A emergency?"

"Well kinda... My mother called me because my father woke up sick, she asked me to help her with the restaurant. I'm so sorry i just—"
He said in one breath.

"Pedri it's fine, really."
I let out a small laugh.

"No it isn't, i shouldn't have left you alone. Let me make it up to you tonight."

"Only the two of us going out tonight, what do you think?"

"I would love to, but you wanted to start training with the team tomorrow. You have to sleep enough."
I said.

"I don't care, your more important."

"Well if it's like that than, yes. I would love to."
I couldn't help but smile.

"Where are we going?"
I asked curiously.

"That's a surprise amor."
Pedri smiled satisfied.

————————————————————
"Omg Pedri are we seriously gonna ride horses?"
I just sounded like a little child who got his ice cream after dinner.

"Yes."
He smiled, but keeping his distance from me while i was petting the horses.

"Come closer then, they're so sweet and—"
I grabbed his hand to pull him closer to the horse.
But before i could finish my sentence, he cut me off.

"No, i'm fine here."
He took a few steps back.

"Wait, are you scared?"
I raised my eyebrows in amusement.

"No."
He shrugged it off.

"Yes you are."

"No. I'm not."

"You are."

"I'm not."

"You definitely are."

"Okay fine but for the record i'm not scared, i just don't trust them."
He finally gave in.

"Why? They're so sweet."
I hugged the horse.

"No they're not. They have teeth."
He looked at me like he saw a ghost.

"Everyone has teeth Pedri."
I let out a laugh.

"Yeah but like they have these giant teeth where they're gonna rip your arm off if you don't watch out. Those legs and hooves can kick you from Spain to China. So you better watch out for them, i'm not gonna come and get you in China."
He started rambling.

I started laughing and walked closer to him.

"If your so scared, why did you even brought us here in the first place?"

"Well i know how much you love them, i just wanted you to be happy today. That's all what matters to me."
His smile appeared again.
