"Bitch! I'm here!" Dee screamed, causing me to jump and clutch my chest. Dee strutted inside the kitchen—wearing her normal clothes. Dark clothing with her sic inch heels. Shaking my head, I pursed my lips to hide my grin as she almost face planted on the ground. "I don't know why you wear those when you always fall, Dee."

Desiree Ravenstahl was an enigma, but I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Dee raked her hands through her bright pink hair and raised an inquiring brow. "So? What did you have to tell me? I've already dropped off my shit in your room. The parents are fine with me staying for the weekend."

Turning around with a huge grin, I pulled the brownies out of the oven and set them on the counter to cool. "Spill!" She cried, kicking off her heels, and taking a seat on the island.

"Okay." I clapped my hands, "Papa North gave me his jeep!"

I was going to call her yesterday and tell her everything, but I knew I would want to see her reaction face to face.

And I was right. Seeing her dark soil-colored eyes bulge from their sockets, and her pink lips opening and closing in shock was well worth the wait.

"What the fuck? Look at your damn face." I snickered, Dee jumped off the counter and grasped my shoulders, shaking me. "Are you fucking serious? North actually gave you his jeep? He loves that thing more than anything!" She squawked in disbelief. Nodding my head smugly, I replied.

"Yeah! Right before he left! C'mon, I'll show you!" I squealed, excitement taking over me once more as I grasped her arm and dragged her outside. Outside, in the same place as yesterday, the jeep sat, untouched. Shiny, and glistening in the warm summer sun. The keys were clutched in my hand while we stood in front of the jeep.

"Damn—lucky bitch. Pops would die before he gave me his motorcycle." Dee pouted, arms crossed. A smirk rested on my lips, "Dee, darling—you about killed us the last time you drove it."
