Mister Jeon.
His name was the only thing I was able to say over and over inside my head as Dee and I neared my house. Today was the day of my gender reveal party, and besides the fact I was nervous about seeing him from afar, I was excited to finally, finally find out my baby's gender.
Sooner or later, Mister Jeon would find out.
At least I would have Jay by my side (hopefully) when it happened.
Pulling up in my driveway and parking her car, Dee looked over to me. "You ready?" she asked, grabbing her purse from the backseat. "As ready as I can be. Um...was it a mistake to wear this outfit?" I asked her, looking down at the pretty light blue summer dress Mom had gotten for me. I felt guilty not wearing it as she seemed so excited-she made it herself for the special occasion.
The only problem I had with it was that it clung tightly to my bump. I looked really pregnant. Dee pursed her lips to hide her smile, "You don't look fat, Perse."
"Thanks." I gave her a small smile before looking out the window to Mister Jeon's house. Both his Audi and his suburban was in parked. He was home.
Fuck it.
I thew open the door and safely stepped out of Dee's car, shutting the door behind me. "Let's go inside, Chimmy and Jay should be here soon."
My eyes were constantly drawn to Mister Jeon's house - just hoping I could get a glimpse of him. I hadn't seen him in months. I wondered if he'd changed in the time I had been away. I wish I could stay mad at him longer, but I loved him too much.
"Persephone! Come on in!" Mom called, poking her head out of the front door, "all the family is here!"
With a grin, I placed my hands on my stomach and slowly walked up the stairs. Nowadays, it was kind of hard to walk upstairs. Mom beamed, she took me into her arms and looked at the dress I was wearing.
