I stared deeply into the gorgeous eyes of the golden cocker spaniel Chimmy had so gracefully sat on my tummy. The puppy squirmed in my grip, excitedly yipping, eyes aglow with happiness.
"Gigi!" Chimmy excitedly blubbered, busying himself by running his tiny little hands through the puppy's fur. Jay scoffed his feet on the carpet, sheepishly cowering from my wide-eyed gaze.
"...he saw the puppy and wouldn't leave - so uh, I bought the puppy..." he croaked, hands held up in surrender, "I - I couldn't just let the puppy go, Chimmy started to look so pitiful...and I...I felt so bad that I had to get Gigi for him..."
Gigi released another adorable bark and licked all over my cheeks as I scratched behind her ears. Chimmy grinned, knowing he won and toddled up beside me on the couch.
"She's adorable," I cooed, "Does your dad know?"
Jay paled and slowly shook his head. "Um...that's why I came to you first...could you tell him when he gets back from work, Perse?"
My jaw dropped, "Why me?"
Would Jungkook be upset by the new addition to the family?
Probably.
"You're the only one who can convince him - and he'll murder me."
"I'll try my best okay, but do you have food and other things we need to take care of a puppy?" I asked, peeking outside. It was nearly dark, and Jungkook would be here soon, so we better come up with a plan.
Jay nodded, "Yeah - I bought everything when Chimmy and I were with Dee."
With a sigh, I carefully climbed up from the couch and held out a hand to Chimmy.
