I can't believe the man I imagined railing me until I could longer function properly was beside me, looking hotter than the sun as he held his little son in his arms. Chimmy, (who I had only seen twice before, the first time was the the day everyone found out not only was our favorite teacher married, but he also had two children. And the second time was the day that Father invited all the teachers and their families to christmas dinner at Father's old house that we use as a vacation or guest home.)
Mister Jeon's face softened in a kind smile, the silver hoop in his lip shining as the light caught it, "Ah, Persephone. How are you, sweetheart?"
Sweetheart? My heart quickened at the nickname. Peering up at him, I caught Chimmy's adorable eyes looking down at me curiously. "I'm fine, Mister Jeon." I cleared my throat, hoping he didn't hear my breath catch in my throat. "How are you?"
"I'm doing well." He said, holding eye contact. Since Mister Jeon was standing so close to me, Chimmy placed his little hand on my head and gave my blonde hair a pat. "You're pwetty." He cooed, giggling my hand came up and tapped the top of his tiny hand, "Aww, thank you." I replied, still giggling at his adorable actions. I could feel Mister Jeon's gaze still on my face "and you're adorable." I whispered back, before stepping away from the two.
Looking back up at Mister Jeon, I could see the happy, kind smile on his lips as he watched our interaction. Tapping my fingers on my bare thighs, unknowingly bringing his attention to them, I whistled. "I better get back inside and make sure Dee hasn't set my kitchen on fire." I laughed awkwardly, giving Jay a kind pat on the back, I said my goodbyes.
"It was nice seeing you." I gave a tiny, cute grin, "If any of you need any help—Dee and I are just next door."
Mister Jeon and Jay exchanged a look, "Thank you for your offer, Sweetheart. But we almost have everything inside the house now."
"Okay," I nodded, "It was nice catching up, Jay. See you later."
I finally relaxed once I turned around and jogged up my porch, before basically running inside my house, and shutting the door behind me.
