SIX AM
"Mom?"
"Persephone!" Mom answered back, grinning widely once I accepted the video call. I saw her—with my dads behind her, laying on the beach together. "I miss you, sweetie."
A soft smile fell upon my lips, "I miss you all too. How is Greece? And how is Popou? (grandfather)
"Your papou is great—his with Silas right now, sailing." Mom gave a giggle, tucking strands of her blonde hair behind her ears. "I bet Papa's really enjoying that," I nodded, propping myself up against my headboard, slyly peeking out my window to see Mister Jeon walk inside his room with Chimmy in his arms—pressing kisses to his head as he tried to wake him.
"—Perse? Are you okay?" Mom asked worriedly, snapping my attention back to my phone—I could see Father and Papa North peek over Mom's shoulder—suspiciously. Blushing, I shook my head. "I'm fine Mom—hey can I talk to you about something?" Sometimes a girl had to tell their Mamas about going on their first date.
A frown pulled at Mom's lips, but she nodded, looking quickly over her shoulder to make sure none of them was listening in. "Sure, babe. Hold on, I'll tell them we have to talk about your menstrual cycle."
Snorting in mirth, I grinned. "Thanks Mom."
She gave me a quick wink, "My pleasure—hold on this will one take a minute." She sung. I smirked slightly as Mom turned and spun the story so my Dads wouldn't want to listen in. Seeing them recoil in disgust made my freaking day.
As Mom walked a good distance away from my dad's, and took a seat on a nearby beach chair—I snuck another peek at Mister Jeon's window. Not seeing him or Chimmy inside, I focused back on my phone.
Mom was staring at me with a large smirk.
"—what?" I asked, pulling my duvet to cover my neck.
Usually I never woke up too early, but due to my excited and nervousness for tonight, I could barely sleep, and when I did fall asleep (around 3 am) I woke up at five thirty.
