We argue and yell all the time  what's the difference now? Why dose it matter how loud we are this time?

His heart sank for a moment, then he remembered he wanted to stop hurting her. The door closed behind the two of them.

Katie on the other hand had the same thought in mind.

"We have to break up this just isn't gonna work... Ikissedcharles."

"Say thay again slower."

"We have to break —

"Not that, the other thing you said it really fast." He felt dejected but didn't understand why. The words processed he just needed confirmation that's really what he heard.

"I kissed Charles Hanson Cook." She yelled, there was a tiny smile on her face, like she was happy?

Her smile kept growing and she couldn't stop it. The way kissing Charles made her feel. She couldn't stop feeling so happy. She did something she'd longed to do. While she was torn over leaving Andrew she was ecstatic over finally finding out that not all guys are revolted by the thought of kissing.

"Well, I mean." His voice was shaky. "I planned on working things out with you but uh I guess you had different plans." He sighed

It was her turn to feel her stomach drop.

He watched her face pale, he felt bad but they weren't together anymore.

"Do you think we ever actually cared about each other as more than friends?"

"I don't think so." He sighed.  He felt guilty for dragging her in and maintaining the lie that they were more than friends when he knew he cared for Veronica much more.

"Well Buckaroo hope you don't miss me too much."  She giggled and opened the door and skipped happily through  the living room.

He dejectedly sat on Veronicas bed. While he had underlying feelings for Veronica. He kinda hoped he could get rid of them and fix things with Katie. He hadn't worked on his room any, even though he should. He considered moving to his own place to prevent any strife.

However he was just left in the single life for the first time since sophomore year. He himself was not about to just jump to the next girl.  He'd finally do things he'd been putting off.

Katie skipped out of my room smiling happily. Wonder if that means they worked things out?

Andrew was still in my room. I walked to the open door and knocked on the door frame. He was staring at the photo mom had taken of me and him when we were nine.

"Hey." He sighed then laughed.

"What?" I smiled gently.

"Well, you knocked on your own door."

"Uh yeah, I'd leave you alone in here if you ask. Scream at no one in particular. Have an imaginary fight with someone. As long as you don't break anything I'm good with it."

"Nah, I'm good. She broke up with me. I hoped we could fix us, but she kissed — " he paused wondering if he should tell me "someone else. She seemed happier than I made her, I want her happy I don't wanna hold her down."

"Charles Cook, I know Henry and I walked past them in the act. She was doing the leading and you could tell."

"Why didn't you say something?"
