The hotel sent us home for the weekend because a large group were going to be staying the weekend and we occupied practically every bit of room the place had to offer. Last night was a late night in which Bandit slept on my head. I found it hard to be mad at the pup for it. Considering Veronica didn't even grab half of her belongings when she got out to see Katie.

She hugged me for a solid Five minuets before she even moved to get out of the car. I didn't shower before passing out last night. Jackie was passed out on the couch. Everything has been very anxiety inducing. I worried about Veronica.

I picked up my phone and dialed her number.

One ring.

Two rings.

Three rings.

Four rings.

"Hello?" Her soft voice answered.

"Hey." I felt relieved.

"Austin? Are you okay?" She was concerned about me? I found that rather endearing.

"Yes, I'm okay, Bandit how ever is a big baby."

"Bandit!!!! Can you bring him home please?"

"Yes I can, I'll be there in 20." I grabbed my car keys.

"Thank you." She sounded weak.

"Bye, V."

"Bye, Austin."

"Veronica, I don't want to be in your way. I just feel so lonely and your all I've ever had. Please be understanding with my heart."

What am I supposed to say to that? I'm being as understanding as I can. If I'm anymore 'understanding' he won't understand where he stands with me. I sat up and turned to look at him. I may later regret how I word what I'm about to say.

"Henry. If I'm anymore understanding, as you call it. All of my relationships will be screwed up. My perception of what you said essentially told me you want me to allow you to love me and let you do what ever your heart pleases in the name of love and treat you the same as I always have. I don't know what word you were looking for there but it definitely isn't understanding."

He looked away from me. "Yeah, you're right that wasn't the right word."

"I can respect that you love me, but I'm not going to pretend that I love you the same and I'm not going to give into whatever you want."

He nodded his head and stood up, leaving my room. I closed the door behind him and went back to changing out the clothes in my suitcase. I carried the blood stained clothes to the bathroom pulling out a soak bucket. I put some stain remover on the blood spots and let the remover set. Then filled the bucket with hot water and placed the clothes in the water. I set the bucket in the corner, to hopefully avoid it getting knocked over.

Rose, Henry's pup is a rather mischievous little girl. So I wasn't too sure how well my hopes would work out.

"Note to self, get a lid for the bucket."

"Got one the other day." I spun around to see Henry in the doorway.

"Thank you, where is it?"

"It's under the cabinet." For some unknown reason I was suddenly very uncomfortable with Henry standing there.
