6.Fooling

Jungkook stared back at Jimin with a blank expression. He wanted to go over to him, pull him close, and tell him that he was there for him. Even if Jimin didn't want his help, he would still choose to be by his side. He longed to wrap his arms around him, to make him feel warm and safe. He wanted to dry his hair and tend to his bruises, wanting to know who was responsible for them.

Suddenly, the front door swung wide open, disrupting Jungkook's train of thought.

Jin and the others turned their backs and were startled to see Kim Taehyung entering their home. Their skin prickled with goosebumps, their eyes burned with fury, and their blood boiled at the sight of him.

Jungkook's anger flared as he saw Taehyung enter his home, the cause of his breakup with Jimin.

"Oh baby, look you are here! Aish! " He voiced out a bit softer and he wrapped his long coat over Jimin and squeezed him in his embrace.

"I was searching for you, the entire Seoul. Look how you are drenched in the rain? " Tae sighed and his gaze met Jungkook and the others.

"Are they hurting you again? " Tae's voice is loud enough for them to know how venom his tone was. His eyes were burning to meet Jungkook's.

"That we should ask you, Mr Kim. Please take away your sugar baby with you. And we don't want to witness his presence either. " Jin spat rudely causing Taehyung to make his fist tight and he was ready to attack him.

Before he could hit, Hobi came forward and said, " Please leave before we call the police. And don't forget that you are standing in our home. " He threatened causing Taehyung to compose himself and he decided to let go of him for now.

His gaze softened once he met Jimin's ,but he furrowed when the latter was staring intensely at something. He followed his gaze and caught Jungkook.

"Jimin, let's go. " Tae announced but Jimin was not listening.

Lisa looked at Jungkook's reaction, to check if he was showing any emotions or not. But no, she couldn't find anything.

Jungkook simply stared back at Jimin, so did him. Taehyung lifted him in bridal style and he started walking towards the exit.

Jimin's eyes never left Jungkook as he simply stared back at him, but this time, he was smiling genuinely yet crying while looking at him, which tore Jungkook's heart apart. The smile was a mix of longing, happiness, and sadness, and Jungkook didn't know why Jimin was smiling at him.

Was it because he got fooled again, by believing Jimin is there for him?
