Eunwoo looked at Mingyu's lifeless body with tears in his eyes. The doctor handed him Mingyu's belongings, causing Eunwoo to cry even louder. Mingyu was his best friend and a well-wisher. He couldn't believe Mingyu was no longer with them.
He voicelessly put a pendrive in his car as he sat there after performing the last rites for Mingyu. Eunwoo had no idea what was inside as he simply drove back to the station, until he heard a voice note from a victim about the famous actor Kim Taehyung.
The voice note crackled to life as Eunwoo drove, the chilling words echoing through the car.
"Kim Taehyung is not who he seems," the victim's voice trembled. "I have been his car driver for 10 years and everything I say was true.."
"He's...obsessed. When he lays eyes on something, or someone, he doesn't stop until he has it. I first noticed it with small things—a rare painting, an antique watch. He would move heaven and earth to acquire them, no matter the cost or the means."
Eunwoo's grip tightened on the steering wheel as the voice continued. "But it's more than that. Taehyung is stubborn to the point of being dangerous. When he decided he wanted Jimin, he did everything in his power to make Jimin his. He manipulated, he threatened, and he coerced his parents. Nothing and no one could stand in his way."
The note grew more harrowing. "I was one of the people who tried to stop him, to protect Jimin. But Taehyung found out. He made sure I paid for it, in ways I can hardly describe. He thrives on control, on possessing what he desires, and he won't let anything slip through his fingers."
Eunwoo's heart raced as he processed the gravity of the situation. The Taehyung he idolized was not the charming actor the world saw but a dangerously obsessive individual who would go to any lengths to get what he wanted. He realized the depth of Mingyu's warning and the seriousness of the evidence he had stumbled upon.
"Jimin' s parents? Does that mean Mr Kim Taehyung knows Jimin beforehand?" Eunwoo gripped the steering wheel.
"So, you didn't tell Mr Kim that it was Jung Hoseok and not Jimin?" Shiny asked, squinting his eyes curiously.
"No," Lisa replied calmly, sipping her coffee without further explanation.
"What if Mr. Kim finds out, Lisa?" Lisa didn't answer, already pondering a plan that only she knew.
Lisa and Shiny were schoolmates. It was Lisa who recommended him to be Jimin's assistant.
Lisa wanted to be Jungkook's girlfriend, and Shiny wanted to earn more. If Jimin were to marry Jungkook, then Jimin would quit acting, and Shiny would lose money since he couldn't earn the same amount without Jimin. Thus, Shiny was against the idea of Jimin dating Jungkook.
Taehyung called Jimin back, but furrowed his brow when Jimin didn't respond.
He tried to pay a visit to the shooting spot, but still felt distant, and it hurt him deeply.
Taehyung blankly stared at the script Jungkook was holding. Lisa tried to start a conversation with Jungkook, but he wasn't even looking at her.
"I'm in," Taehyung finally replied, causing Jungkook to smile in victory.
"I can't act, Jungkook. I'm sorry," Hobi politely replied, causing Jungkook to sulk.
"Hyung, why? It's a nice opportunity to shine, and who knows, after this film, you'll get more recognition," Jungkook genuinely replied. According to the industry, if any actor works with Kim Taehyung, then they'll be recognized more easily.
"But—" Hobi was hesitant.
"No 'buts,' you're in. Period."
