"He is out of danger, Mr. Park. And it will take 3 weeks for him to walk properly," the doctor informed me as I had called out a doctor to check on my uncle.
My uncle lay on the bed with a urinary tube attached since he can't walk because of the fall.
"Thanks for the help, Doctor." I bowed and he left my mansion.
"Just be thankful that I let you live," I glared at my uncle before storming out of his bedroom.
I knocked on my own bedroom door and leaned into it, crying a lot as if there were no tomorrow.
"Why did I save him?" Was that all ringing in my head? If someone else was in my place they would have definitely let him die but I couldn't do that to him.
I simply stared at my dark room when my train of thought got distracted by a phone call.
I wiped my cheeks and took out my phone from my pants pocket to see Tae hyung on the caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Are you crying?" As soon as he asked, I furrowed my brows and looked around to see if he was watching me.
"Hello, JIMIN? Are you there?"
"Huh? Ye--a, hyung." I still wondered how he knew that I'm crying.
"Open the door, I'm waiting outside."
"WHAT?" I gulped and checked my watch, which showed 2 A.M. I then rushed towards the door and opened it to reveal Tae hyung, all dressed up in a brown long coat and white dress shirt, holding a bunch of bouquets in his right hand.
"Hyung..." I gulped and noticed how he was scanning me, which made me feel uncomfortable.
"Is something bothering you?" He asked, taking out a napkin from his pants pocket and wiping away my tears.
"N---no, hyung," I stuttered, and he raised his eyebrows, clearly aware that I was lying.
"Did something happen in Jeju? Was it Jungkook?" He asked, making my skin goosebump at the thought of Jungkook.
"No, no, hyung. It's not him," I quickly defended, but he was not satisfied with my answer.
I walked side by side with Tae hyung as he led me to the ocean. The wind was blowing cold, and Tae hyung wrapped his coat around me.
"Thank you," I smiled and walked ahead.
"Jimin?" He called out, causing me to turn around only to get drenched by the cold water.
I gasped, out of breath, and quickly splashed water back at him.
He laughed and grabbed my wrist, splashing even more water, making me pout and lightly push him, which led to both of us ending up in the ocean.
We both struggled to stand up, looking at each other, and I used this chance to splash even more water on him.
"You little" he complained and I smirked in satisfaction.
"Are you okay now, my love?" He asked, and I pouted.
"It's cold," I complained, making him laugh, though I couldn't understand the meaning behind his laughter.
"Wow..." I ran towards the fire camp and warmed my body by the fire.
I also heard a piano behind me, causing me to catch a glimpse of Tae hyung playing a melody.
I smiled at him, but his music made me remember my Jungkook.
I don't know what came over me; I started singing along with the music, thinking about Jungkook.
Slowly, I stood up and danced along with the music, imagining meeting my love tomorrow.
I twirled around and danced joyfully until I flinched as I got pulled, hitting Tae hyung's chest.
"I couldn't hold back anymore," he said, before pressing his lips against mine.
As Tae hyung's lips pressed against mine, a wave of discomfort swept over me, mingled with guilt. My mind raced with conflicting emotions, knowing that my heart truly belonged to someone else. Despite Tae hyung's passion, I couldn't shake the image of Jungkook from my thoughts – the one who held my true affections.
With each passing second, the kiss felt suffocating, intensifying my inner turmoil. Gently, I pushed Tae hyung away, my chest tight with unease. "I'm sorry, Tae hyung," I murmured, barely audible over the crackling of the fire. "I can't do this."
