I snuggled deeper into the pillow, feeling the warmth of the sunlight on my face. But then, confusion struck me. Wasn't I supposed to have fallen asleep on the couch with Taehyung?
With a sudden jolt, I opened my eyes wide and realized I was lying in Taehyung's bedroom. How did I end up here? Panic gripped me as I thought about Mr. Kim's recent odd behavior, the room filled with my photos, and the unease it had caused.
"Wow, you're awake," my thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Kim's voice as he stood at the door, holding a tray with coffee and biscuits.
"Y-yes," I stammered, my heart racing from both the unexpected situation and his presence.
"My maids aren't here, so I made some coffee for us. Don't drink it if it's bad, okay?" he said, his tone is surprisingly gentle. I nodded in response, my mind still trying to process everything that had happened.
The coffee tasted more like a strange concoction of tea and sourness, but I managed to maintain a gentle expression on my face.
"It's so horrible," Taehyung remarked, and unexpectedly, we both burst into laughter.
"I'll make some coffee for us," I offered, standing up from the bed, momentarily forgetting about the unusual behavior I had witnessed from Taehyung. .
"Okay," Tae scratched his head and followed me to the kitchen.
"Shinee kept calling you from the morning, so I ended up answering the phone," he explained as I prepared the milk.
"He also mentioned that you invited a director to your penthouse," he continued, raising his eyebrows. It was then that I realized I had asked Jungkook to meet me today.
"Damn... What time is it?" I panicked, noticing that it was already noon.
"Don't worry, I asked Shinee to meet you at your company," Tae reassured me, prompting me to hurry up.
"The milk," Tae reminded me just as I was about to forget it, making me quickly turn off the stove.
I knew I needed to leave quickly, as I could anticipate Jungkook's potential anger.
"Don't do it again." Tae suggested, causing me to become puzzled.
"What, hyung?"
"Next time, don't invite any directors to your penthouse," he advised, his tone serious.
"Yes," I gulped, handing him a coffee mug.
"Jimin?"
"Huh?"
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No! Why are you asking?"
"Because I can't see the old Jimin in you. You always used to smile around me. But today, all I can see is fear," he admitted, and I bit my lip nervously.
"Hyung... it's not like that. I..." I started to explain.
"I'm sorry," Tae sincerely apologized, and a wave of pain washed over my heart.
"Hyung, why are you sorry?" I panicked. No, I was in the wrong here. He was unwell, trying to cheer me up, and I was giving him the cold shoulder.
"No... I just want to apologize for whatever I did to you," he said, making me shake my head.
"Hyung, stop it. I'm still the same old Jimin. I'm sorry I acted distant; I was just tired. And let me check your temperature," I said, placing my hand on his forehead, only to find he still had a fever.
