They next day Aryia, Katie, and I sought out to post our flyers all around the area.
We then took to our socials and posted a copy of the flyer there with a message to contact me if inquiring about auditions.
Throughout the course of the day we did get a few prank responses, the typical response you would expect of a prank in which case Aryia would take my phone and send a voice clip to whoever sent that joke message.
It would sound a little threatening at first so I would tell him to dial it down, but he wouldn't. Aryia being Aryia would defend me and that's why I love him, yes you heard me right.
"I just wish people would stop messing around with us and actually act serious. They should know how much this means to you." Katie said frowning as we now sat at a table in the mall food court.
"Aw, thanks Katie. I get what you mean. Every single message so far has been a prank, or nobody actually being serious." I frowned right back.
"You girls better get those frowns off your face I bought smoothies!" Aryia says cheering now joining us at the table.
"Thanks Aryia." Katie smiles taking a smoothie cup.
"Yeah thanks babe." I smiled and took the cup Aryia offered to me.
He smiles back and takes a sip of his own. "Any luck?" He asked, probably already knowing the answer.
"Unfortunately not. Just about every message I have gotten so far has been a prank, they've not wanted to actually schedule an audition, or it was just a bot account asking me to open some sort of link..." I frowned sipping my smoothie.
"That's what I thought. Luckily, I think I've found our guy." Aryia answered.
"Who?" Katie asked.
"The guy working at the smoothie shop. He saw us hanging up the fliers earlier and asked to take one, said that he'd been looking to join a band." Aryia said nodding toward the shop.
"Wow really! That's awesome!" I called out.
"Yeah, you can thank me later." Aryia responded winking.
Katie looked between the two of us, "I don't even want to know." She said laughing and looking down at her phone. She typed on the screen then put it back down. "Guys do you think we could leave soon?" She asked.
"Yea I mean we pretty much hung up all of the flyers. Why?" I asked her.
"Well, because I just finished planning a date and he wants it to be tonight. I got to make it back home by a certain time so I can be clean and dolled up." She says blushing.
"Oooh. Who's the lucky guy?" Aryia asked joking with the girl as we all got up.
"He's a friend of a friend. A friend of mine introduced me to this guy and has been talking to the two of us about hooking up for months but since we've talked it over we actually thought of trying to date each other. We finally decided on having an official date tonight." She smiled.
"Well in that case we must get you home now then." I say smiling as we walk towards the exit and in Aryia's car.
"Do you need to be dropped off?" Aryia asked.
Because Aryia and I spent the night at Sam and colbys again while Katie went home to take care of her pets, we picked Katie up the next morning.
"Sure, if you don't mind since you picked me up anyway."
"Of course we don't mind, we had other things to do after anyway." I smiled at the girl.
