Izuku's POV:

I felt Shoto slump against my chest. Sitting myself down instead of crouching, I check his face and saw he was asleep again.

"Okay, what in Hymus's name was that?" Ochako says.

Tsu taps her chin. "It sounded like instructions." She says. "Did he fall asleep again?"

I nod. "I think these.. prophecies, take a lot out of him." I say. "They're obviously being forced out of him, and it's obviously tiring."

Ochako turns to the lake. "That thing he just said, 'when the moon fills the lake'." She thinks for a moment. "Does that mean when the moon reflects its full circle in the lake water? It is a circle."

I glanced at the lake before looking down at Shoto again. He was sleeping peacefully on my lap still, his hair was shifting as he breathed, and his lips slightly parted as I rubbed the top of his head.

"Alright, lovebirds, get a room." Ochako teases. I look up quickly and my face flushes.

"We- I'm not- Ugh." I roll my eyes.

We start bickering before Tsu stops us. "Guys, if that thing's correct, we have to wait for the moon to rise fully." She says. "Which will be midnight. And since it's just after sunset, that will be a few more hours. We should set up camp."

I nod and look down at Shoto again. I slip out of him and grab my bag. Inside, there was tons of food, water, another map, a compass, and two blankets and pillows for both me and Shoto. I pull out the blankets and pillows and set the blankets down on a part of the ground that wasn't dirty for a moment.

Then I gently lifted Shoto's head up and placed it on the pillow. Shoto hums tiredly. I cover him with a blanket and turn back to my friends.

"So how long do we need to wait?" Tenya asks. "A few hours? I think we should take turns sleeping. Who wants to stay awake first?"

I shrug. "I'll do it. I slept in today." I say. Ochako and Tsu nod and get their sleeping stuff out. Tenya does the same.

Once they were resting, I took out a book and started writing in my journal. I haven't written in it for a long time and I wanted to update. After half an hour later, I looked back at Shoto. I thought crosses my mind and I roll my eyes at myself.

"Hah, I'm falling for royalty." I mutter. "How poetic."

Shoto shifts a little and his face scrunches up again. I glance down at him.

He starts whimpering, just like before. I quickly move towards him and pull him up. He was shivering violently, and muttering words that I couldn't hear.

"Hey, hey, hey." I whisper. "Shoto, wake up. You're having a nightmare."

I shook him gently. But he only whimpered louder and tears fell down his cheeks. My heart practically shattered into pieces.

"Shoto." I say. "Shoto, wake up!"

The tears fell faster down his cheeks. I shake him harder.

He opens his eyes and gasps, I stop moving. Shoto whips his head around and he was still shaking violently. He grabs my arms as I cup his tear stained cheeks in my hands. "Shoto, listen. You're okay." I say gently, in the softest voice I can muster. "You're safe. You're safe."

He stares in my eyes and stops muttering. He stopped shaking as intensely as before.

"Izuku?" He chokes out through his tears.

"Hi." I respond with a reassuring smile.

Shoto stares at me for another second before bursting into the quietest tears I've ever seen anyone do. He hugs me and cries into my shirt.

We stay like that for a while.

Then finally, the soft cries Shoto was letting out stopped, and his breathing evened out. "Shoto?" I whisper. I don't get a response. My smile grows slightly. Hopefully he gets more sleep now.

I set him back down on the pillow and woke Tenya up. I lay next to Shoto facing him. His face was still wet, and he still had a frown, but he looked more peaceful than before.

...

"Izuku, wake up." Ochako says, shaking my shoulder. I opened my eyes and realized it was midnight. Shoto was sitting up and drinking a bottle of water.

I sit up as well. "So we're waiting for the winged lizard to appear?" I ask. Shoto yawns behind me.

"I think it's a dragon." Tsu says. "'Winged Lizard' is a popular way to refer to a dragon."

I stare at the sky. "So we're waiting for a dragon and its prince." I say. "Sure. Let's go with that. But what kind of prince would be in the forest in the middle of the night with a dragon?"

Suddenly, a large shadow envelopes me and all my friends.

I slowly looked up to see that the moon's reflection was completely on the lake's surface. But the lake was also reflecting another dark shape. I look up farther and see a huge red reptile standing over the lake. It's eyes glowed red down at us with a chilling stare.

Ochako followed my gaze and gasped. Tsu and Tenya stare at it frozen.

The dragon slowly, paw by paw, walked over to us. It stood in front of us and leaned its head down to me.

"Ei!" Someone yelled. "Stop that!"

I slowly look in the direction of the voice and saw a boy our age. He had short puffy blonde hair and red eyes. He was shirtless for some reason. A red cape bellowed behind his back, and a necklace of sharp teeth hung from his neck. He had bracelets and earrings, and baggy black pants with matching boots.

The dragon stopped looking at me and ran over to the boy. The boy glared at us all as he rubbed the chin of his dragon.

"Who are you?" He says.

No one spoke for a moment. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, who are you?" I said when I found my voice.

I felt a small tug on the back of my shirt, and I glanced and saw Shoto had his eyes squeezed shut in fear.

"My name is Katsuki Bakugou, Prince of the Bakugo Kingdom." The blonde boy replies. The dragon nudges his face. "And this is my dragon, Eijiro Kirishima."

Ochako tilted her head. "You named your dragon with a human name?" She questions.

The dragon snorted. Katsuki laughed.

Then with a flash of red dust, the dragon disappeared and in its place was another red haired boy. He also was shirtless, and had an armor sleeve on with baggy pants as well.

"Hi! I'm Eijiro!" He said, grinning.

I heard a small gasp behind me and glanced back at Shoto. He had the most adorable expression. A look of shock and childish-like awe replaced his fear, and he was gaping at Eijiro.

Katsuki raised his eyebrows at Shoto. "Aren't you the prince?" He asked. "The one that went missing?"

"Yes." He responded. Then after a moment, "I've met you before."

Katsuki nodded. "Yes, at a meeting discussing peace treaties." He said. "I didn't expect you to be someone who would run away."

"Wait a moment." Tsu interrupts. "If your a half dragon, that would mean your a child of scales."

We all turn to her with a surprised expression. Except Katsuki and Eijiro, who gave her confused ones.

"You're right." Ochako says. "So we have the child of ice and child of scales, but who are the other two?"

"What other two? What do you mean by the child of scales and ice?" Katsuki demanded. Everyone exchanged a look.

Ochako turned back to Katsuki. "We have a bit of explaining to do."
