MATSUMOTO SHIN

Second day of my work at Roppongi Station.

Matsumoto Shin is my detective partner. Yesterday, he told me that he has a brother who was part of the Athena Plan. And unfortunately, it was Twelve. His real name after all was Matsumoto Kai. It would have suited him perfectly.

Now, I'm investigating Matsumoto-kun.

"Matsumoto-kun, what are you doing?" I asked him. "Why should you know?" He said. He really resembles Nine's personality. "Because we're partners." I told him. "I'll tell you if I want to. Now shut up. You're annoying." He bluntly said. That's a failed progress.

"If you're given a chance to meet your brother, what would you do?"

"Of course I'd meet him. And I'll hug him tight."

Suddenly, tears got into my eyes. "Are you crying?" He asked. "It's the wind." I said, trying to cover up. I wiped my tears away. "I think I've met your brother." I told him. "You really looked like him. And in fact, he was the opposite of you. Both of you have synesthesia too." I told him.

He has the right to know.

"You're spouting nonsense." He said. Probably he doesn't want to accept the fact that someone met his brother before him. "It's not nonsense. Everything I said was true. He was part of the Sphinx. He's actually very kind." I told him. "Can you please just get back to work?!" He shouted.

"I'm sorry."

"It's my fault."

I shouldn't have said those things. I didn't know what Matsumoto-kun was feeling. Maybe now's not the right time. I went back to work, typing things I don't even understand.

Things that can never be understood.

I wish I'm normal like these people around me. I'm already 22. I'm working. So why can't I do it? I should be like them. I live for a reason.
