"Mishima, what's taking you so long?!"
"Matsumoto-kun, I-I accidentally dropped the box."
He helped me sort out the files and put it back in the box. "Here it is, Ashime High. Aren't you going back?" He asked, and I knelt there, confused about the things I saw.
Did Nine and Twelve know about this?
Am I the only one who discovered this?
I need to talk with Shibazaki-san.
"What are you holding?!" Matsumoto-kun asked. "I was about to return it in the box." I said and he snatched it from me. "Wait-this is!" He said and tossed it to me. "Don't ever recall I took a look at that. Say a word, you'll feel my wrath." He ordered and I nodded. Matsumoto-kun is indeed scary.
We went back, pretending nothing ever happened in the Storage room. But, is he affected because he lost his brother, Matsumoto Kai? Who am I kidding? I call him Twelve.
"Do you want coffee? I'll get it for you."
"Being so nice all of a sudden huh?"
I suddenly blurted out. "Sorry...I just-" I tried to apologize but he chuckled. "I'm not mad or anything, I was just surprised that's all. Sorry to have frightened you." He said. "I want to talk to Shibazaki-san about it. If he knew anything about the file." I said.
"Go ahead."
I did something wrong. His smile was fake.
"Matsumoto-kun, I have met your brother, and it's not your fault he's now gone. You should be happy. Because he tried his best." I told him, and he grabbed me by the shoulder. "Is this story worth investigating?" He asked.
"Don't you want to find justice for your brother?"
Justice already has been brought upon them.
But for Matsumoto-kun, this was his way of repaying Twelve.
I hope he succeeds.
