EXPERIMENT

Standing before me is Mayumi Jen, or simply Fukushi Mana, the lost sister of Zero.

"Y-you're an experiment?"

"Yes, of course! The succession of the experiment triggered me to run away."

She's intelligent, unlike the other savants we had met like Zero and Drai. She's the real product of the Athena Plan. "So, you are the real basis of the Athena Plan?" Matsumoto-kun asked her. "Heck no. I'm the product. Shiro's the basis, believe me. I'm just the perfect outcome." She said.

"So you were experimented in what age?"

"Half of my 4 and 5 years."

So that's why the experiment failed. The other children weren't stable because they weren't half years old. "My birthday was on August, and I was experimented on April. Tough life I lead! It was a pretty great advantage, but it sucks so much!" She complained. "Have you ever felt like even though you're good at art, it's the only thing you can do?" She said.

"No, because we never thought of being experiments."

"Oh right! Hey you, Lisa was it? You were on the news 5 years ago, yeah?"

She remembered?! "I was confirming it when I bumped you, but when you said you were involved with two terrorists, I think I want to play with you." She walked towards me. "Just how pathetic are you without your dead friends?" I clenched my fists.

She should just shut up.

I punched her hard. My knuckles hurt because I wasn't used to this kind of violence. "Amazing how anger just pushes you to do what you hate! How about I insult them a little more, huh?" She's really pissing me off!!! Just when I was about to throw another punch, Matsumoto-kun stopped me.

"Don't let her get to you."

Instead of Matsumoto-kun's face, I see Twelve's face. An angel's face with light shining on it. It's like he's giving me a message to not give up just yet. Don't let my anger get the best of me. She can insult them all she wants, because she never met them. That's why it's so easy for her to say those words.

"Sweet, but not so sweet."

"What is wrong with you, anyway?"

I asked her. "You see, if Shiro's not normal, I'm what you call 'not a human-being.'. I'm the God you've all been waiting for to see." She thinks so highly of herself. I take it back. Compared to her, Zero's more normal. Or wait...compared to her, no one's normal. No, they're both not normal.

I guess it runs in the family.

One thing I had noticed about her, she calls Zero 'Shiro'. I think she knows how to read. "Shiro's really a dumbass. He follows anything father tells him to. Unlike me, I'm so perfect. I'm a God above others. They praise me for my works! What about you Lisa-chan? Does anybody ever praise you?" She asked.

Oh God, why do I have to bother?

"No, but there are people who appreciate me. And they are Nine and Twelve."

Mayumi turned at me with a nasty smirk. "I guess they weren't that bad...maybe. But what do you even want me to do?" She asked. Surprisingly, she was being obedient. I never knew she would be like this. "I wanted you to talk to Zero. Maybe talk to him and save him from his current situation?" I said.

"Do you even think that would help your case? Believe it or not, Shiro's far from saving."

That's not true. Everybody can be saved.

"What can we do to make you agree?" Matsumoto-kun asked her. "I actually have  one condition. It doesn't cost you much. It's easy to do!" She said and then licked her lips.

"Don't bother me anymore, and fuck off."
