Day Two
~

“So, you top or bottom?” Keigo asked. They had only just been put in their cell, wearing their new uniforms. Keigo had his hands in his pockets and was leaning against the wall, much too nochalant for what he just asked, Touya thought.

The latter stared at him. Like, just stared. “I…what?”

“Are you top or are you bottom?” Keigo said again, suspicious at the way Touya was reacting to his perfectly normal question. His cheeks had turned a light pink and his eyebrows were raised high; he was a little startled at the question.

“Uh…well I've never done it, but I'd say top. Obviously.”

Keigo snorted. “Everyone always goes for top. And what do you mean you've 'never done it'? Did you never have a bunk bed as a kid?”

“Wait…what?”

“What?”

“What do you mean?”

Keigo used his foot to push himself off the wall, and gestured to the iron bed in one corner of the room. “I meant where do you want to sleep; on the top or on the bottom. What are you thinking of?”

Touya stared for another five seconds before blinking rapidly with the realisation. “Oh. Right. Fuck. Erm, nothing.” He climbed the small ladder with it's thin rungs, and then hauled himself onto the top mattress.

Keigo didn't sleep right away - he went over to the window and gripped the bars that protected it. Their cell was high up and he had a good view of the sky, and he sighed heavily, but smiled at the lazy clouds that floated by. How he wished to feel the breeze in his face, or the feeling of adrenaline pumping through his veins as he told Touya which streets to take as they fled from the police. With Keigo's birds eye view, they could always make their escape. Those were good times - the feeling of succeeding never got old.

To his unbeknowing, Touya was watching him. Not in a creepy way - okay, maybe it was a little creepy to be watching someone while they daydreamed, but he couldn't help but feel bad he'd lead Keigo down the wrong path. Keigo was meant to be free; he was made for the open sky, not locked up in a cell. He hadn't even done anything legally wrong when Touya met him. Sure, he had been a victim of domestic violence - maybe even caused some as well, but was it really enough to end up being caged in here?

Maybe they'd be out sooner than they thought.

Maybe, just maybe…

-

Touya was hot, and sweaty, and uncomfortable when he woke up. He had terrible back pain due to Keigo constantly moving around in the night, and had even been kicked at some point. Perhaps it was his pigeon instincts trying to make some sort of nest in a half-asleep state, he didn't know. What he did know was that his trousers were feeling far too tight, and he groaned because he knew what that meant.

Curse this bed.

Touya sat up and looked around. Keigo was still fast asleep, snoring. He was in an unsightly position, arms and legs sprawled out all over the place, making Touya grimace at him before getting out of the bed as quietly as he could. He then opened the door and looked about, hoping he'd find the bathroom as soon as possible. He didn't want to be walking around with a third leg for long.

The hall was quiet, but there was noise coming from the back room with the open doorway. He poked his head around the wall to see Spinner sitting on the couch with his head tilted back, snoring loudly. The TV was still on, showing a game character awaiting it's next move.

Touya went back down along the hall and stoped in front of a door without a handle. He hesitated before pushing it open. It was indeed a bathroom, if a small one. There was a toilet and a low sink with a mirror above it, and the floor was tiled black with some sort of drain hole in one corner, and when Touya looked up there was a shower head attached to the wall. So there was a shower without the real shower? Interesting.

He looked in the mirror and studied his face. The staples around his eye scars looked like they were getting rusty but he didn't have any more, and he definitely didn't receive any check ups in prison. With a sigh, he leant against the door and glanced down, frowning that his problem was still there. While in prison, Touya hadn't had a lot of alone time, but there was no way he was going to stain the only clothes he had. Besides, he knew if he did give into his desires he'd only feel guilty.

Damn, he really was down bad for Keigo.

Touya tried to distract himself, trying to not think about that one time Keigo walked in on him jerking off in the bathroom. Thank goodness he didn't know who to, but…yeah.

He shook his head to force the though from his mind, but stopped short because that made him slightly dizzy. He pressed his lips together and shut his eyes tight, hoping the headache would disappear soon.

Now that he had time to think, he and Keigo hadn't really sussed out what they were going to do when they escaped. ‘Live a normal life’ was on the list, though what did that mean - how would they achieve it? Would they have to change their names? Move to a different country? They couldn't just show up to their old houses and act like everything was the same. Touya's father would still be home - if they even lived in the same house - and what about his younger brother, Shoto? It had been years since he tried to kill him, would he want to see Touya? Would Touya be forgiven? He didn't even know if he wanted forgiveness, his heart was still hard towards Shoto, the child prodigy. He was perfect, unlike Touya, whose one tiny flaw caused his father to completely give up on him. If only that monster of a man could see him now.

A groan left his lips as he rubbed his temples. Too much thinking. He needed time to sort out his thoughts and decide what he was going to do first. One thing he was sure of, was that he wanted to feel his mother's arms around him, and feel loved.

Did he really just go from horny to self pitying?

Yes, yes he did.
