Day Twelve
~

There was no doubt Touya had felt guilty about the night before, but he covered it up easily, of course.

Unfortunately for him when he went to get cereal for breakfast, he was met with Toga in the kitchen when he wanted a quiet morning, with no reminders of Keigo.

Toga, who this particular morning had her hair tied up in two neat space buns, was spreading dark, red jam onto her toast, which honestly looked quite nice, but there was no way Touya was ever going to risk eating any of it. He knew her quirk, and honestly wouldn't be that surprised if the jam had blood it in. Did she drink it on a regular basis, or just when she was using her quirk? He didn't know. But he definitely did not want to. Just the thought of it made Touya feel sick. In prison, there were all sorts of villans and criminals with wacky quirks, but this was another level.

“Hi, Touya-kun!” Toga greeted him, brightly.

“What?” he snapped back, reaching for the cereal box.

“That's not very nice, I was just saying hello. Why can't you be more like Kei-kun?”

“Kei-kun?” Touya felt his skin becoming hotter by the second. This bitch had to be doing it deliberately. It wasn't even Keigo now, it was Kei-kun. “Don't call him that, you little brat.”

“What? Kei-kun?”

Touya stiffened, his grip tightening in the cardboard box. He forced himself to calm down and instead took a deep breath, rolling his shoulders. Toga watched him all the while, her never ending smile becoming wider and wider.

“Yes,” Touya said, pouring the cereal into his bowl. It was only the crumb bits left though, and he frowned. “I would appreciate it if you didn't call him by that, stupid name.”

“Why? Do you not have a nickname for him? I thought you would, 'cuz you like him, yaknow. It would be cute.”

“Cute? Keigo isn't cute. And I don't like him, anyway,” he lied. Keigo was a little cute at times, and Touya definitely did like him.

Toga walked over to the man, having the audacity to pat him on the back in a pitying way. The voice she used was patronising. “It's okay, Touya. You don't have to pretend. We all know. There's no need to hide your true feelings.”

Touya ripped away from her, feeling his cheeks go pink. He was also disgusted at the possibility there may have been jam on her hands, but Toga ignored his scowl and bounced up and down with a huge grin, pointing at his face.

“See, see! Look at that blush! Aw, you really love him don't you?”

Touya felt like he was going to explode. Why was he so transparent?

“I'm not blushing. I'm just mad,” he said, slamming the fridge door closed as he spoke.

“Mad that your love isn't returned! I'm surprised you haven't shown symptoms of hanahaki, apart from the occasional coughing,” she said with a knowing smile. Touya gave her an odd look.

“That's just 'cuz I smoke. And hanahaki only affects you when the person you love doesn't love you back,” he said, completely unaware. As he stared at the milk he was pouring into his cereal, his eyes suddenly widened and darted to Toga, whose smile now looked like it was going to split her face in half with how wide it was.

“Wait, so you're saying-”

“There is a very big chance-”

“That Keigo…?”

“-is in love with you, too!” Toga yelled, cupping her cheeks delightedly.

“You didn't have to shout it out like that,” Touya grumbled, shoving a spoonful of what looked like mashed up cereal into his mouth.
