Jennie

Lisa and I had slept together that night, just holding on to each other, and I don't remember ever sleeping so peacefully and soundly ever before in my entire life. I had to send her back to her own room before dawn for fear that a servant would see her leaving my room in the morning and get any wrong ideas. Gossip spreads like wildfire within the Manoban household.

And that's the last thing I needed.

After I made sure that Lisa had sneaked into her room, I went back to mine and had fallen asleep.

When I finished having my shower and stepped out of the steaming bathroom, I was a little taken aback by the two maids standing in the room with a dress laid out on my bed. Jessi and Minnie looked like two robots operated by batteries. I wondered if they ever laughed or smiled. I wouldn't be surprised if Nichkhun had somehow trained them not to, seeing as to how sick and twisted he was.

I looked at the dress and then at the two of them. "What's that for?"

"The dress is for the wedding this evening."

The dress was pearly white, nothing too fancy, but very elegant.

"Whose wedding am I attending?"

The two looked at each other in some silent communication.

"Master Manoban said to just get you ready."
