FLASHBACK TO THE BOATING INCIDENT

Lisa

"I'm feeling hot in here. Is the air-conditioner not working? I'll go to the upper deck to get some fresh air." Dad said, while taking off his jacket.

Nichkhun's tongue had gotten loose. "Daaaaadddd... why do you always think Lisa is the best?! It's not true... I'm better! I'm better than her! She's a nobody!"

"Nichkhun, mind your tongue! Watch your words!" Grace snapped.

"What? Did I say something wrong? I'm the fucking heir! I don't understand..." He yelled in a drunken stupor, "I'm capable of taking over. I don't know what you want me to do!"

"I'll tell you what to do." Bambam said, while smiling wickedly, "Take your drunk ass down to the cabin and sleep it off. You wouldn't remember this conversation tomorrow."

"Bambam, that's not the way to speak to your older brother." Grace chided.

Bambam rolled his eyes at that comment. I'm sure he is thinking about the internal joke that we always shared. The fact that both Nichkhun and Sorn have absolutely zero capabilities in taking over a business. Much less to say the Manoban empire. We are just glad that in real life, both of them are just our half siblings. It is an embarrassment for us, to be fully related to the two dimwits.

"I'll go upstairs with you, Dad." I climbed to my feet, while following my dad upstairs to the open deck like an obedient child. I have come to act out the part so well, all the while keeping the flame of revenge burning in my soul.

It was hard for Bambam to even agree to what I was going to do. He cried, berated me for even suggesting such a thing, but I had convinced him that it was the only way. It was kill, or be killed. Eventually. And after what our father and Grace Manoban had done to our mother, the both of them deserved what was coming.

Was I even the right person to deliver justice? I was not sure. But someone's got to do the deed. And I would make sure that Bambam would emerge out of this unscathed. If I don't survive this, Bambam will. He must.

Bambam was sitting on the outer deck of the lounge with his legs hoisted up on the railing. The red squares of his Rubik were almost complete, but the white kept messing with it. I could tell that he was getting a little frustrated with it.

"I don't feel that well. I think I'm going to retire for tonight." Dad said.

The contents in the vial must be taking its effect, and he does look a little drowsy right now, judging from his movements. Bambam looked at me, while I was standing at the top of the stairs, staring at our father with a menacing look.

As dad neared the top of the stairs, I gave him a gentle but firm push. That's all it took for him to tumble down the stairs violently, his body rolling on each bump, making a loud thumping sound on the yacht's deck. I couldn't tear my eyes away as his head hit the railing hard and blood gushed out from his forehead.

"Help me..." Dad mumbled, while sitting up straighter, raising his hand towards me. "I don't know how I slipped. Lisa..."

I walked down the stairs calmly, as if I had all the time in the world. Nichkhun and Sorn were all still inside. I looked at Bambam, silently telling him to avert his eyes for what will happen next.

"What are you doing, Lisa?" Dad asked me.

"Did she beg?" I asked.

"What?"

"Did mom beg you to let her go, when you kept her locked up in the cellar?"

"Lisa...."

I took my father's gashed forehead and banged it several more times against the railing, to ensure that I am ridding the world of this vile man, that I call my father.

"What have you done?!" Grace Manoban shrieked as she walked onto the deck and stared at the scene in front of us in horror.

According to our plan, Bambam let out a loud sob and mustered up the acting that he had learned during his school drama days, "What the fuck have you done, Lisa?! Why did you hit Dad?!"

While they were both crying out, fresh blood smeared the railing which dripped down onto the expensive deck flooring. Grace Manoban screamed and wailed, but Bambam hugged her from behind. I ignored them and helped my father stand up, only to shove him over the ledge and into the water.

"Chris!" Grace Manoban came unhinged as she ran to the railing. "Somebody save him!"

One had to be blind not to notice that my father was beyond saving. The metal blades of the yacht had been running. The water coloured a deep red.
