CHAPTER 3
Kaldhi was speechless driving when I said those words to him. Did I hurt him too much by saying that? Should I not tell him that?
I looked at the window when Kaldhi talked.
"Do you want some beer?" He asked me calmly. "Look. It was not about earlier. We need some fun. Bastard!" He laughed with a bitterness voice.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Whatever."
He parked his car minutes later when we reached one of the convenience stores in the road. We did not just buy beers, but also some foods.
We stayed in his car after buying. We did not talk that much. We remained silent while listening to a relaxing music. God! I felt my tiredness in school.
"Oh, Fvck! Ritzieh wanted to have a dinner with me." Said Kaldhi when his phone beeped.
"And then?" I was surprised.
"And then?" He acted confused. "What would I do?" I laughed at his reaction.
"Then go. Maybe it will be a casual dinner." I stated. "And of course maybe she will explain her side at all. But overall, just go Kaldhi."
"Do you want to join?" He asked which made my eye brows up.
"The fvck? Why would I?"
There was a hesitation in him. But I felt that he was feeling a little bit of excitement. Of course. That was Ritzieh. She loves her very much. It's too obvious.
"Ritzieh said you asked him to court her." I talked after a seconds.
"Yeah. I already asked her that." He sighed. "I am sorry. I did not bother to tell you, Ihstan. But believe me I was brave that time." He smiled sparingly.
"It's okay, Kaldhi. Don't worry." I smiled at him and tapped his shoulder twice.
"Let's go. I need to meet my wife." Kaldhi proudly said after finishing our beers and foods. "I need to prepare too."
My phone beeped as well expectedly. Ritzieh texted me while Kaldhi began to drive to drop me off at my house. She said she was sorry again. I just said again to her that she should be straightforwardly to Kaldhi because she was hurting his feelings.
Nonetheless, I have no idea where Kaldhi began his feelings to Ritzieh. I just realize one day that there was something 'fishy' between them.
"What an exhausting day." I said and lay on my bed while looking at my ceiling. "I already want to meet the future." I whispered.
I turned off my phone because there is a tendency that the two will text me. I do not want to bother them. And they need space and closure. I shoul not belonging to that conversation in the first place.
I just took a nap because I need to study again. I have a homework to do in our Oral Communication subject. God! The beginning of my Senior year was challenging.
Minutes passed, I went to the kitchen to have a coffee after finishing my homework. I grabbed some variety of biscuits with chocolate flavors to eat. I knew that my stress-eating attitude is not healthy but this makes me more active to study.
"Still awake?" Dad surprised me unexpectedly.
I placed the coffee and the cookies I was carrying on the bar counter right away. I had assumed that Dad would return tomorrow. I was very shocked.
I hugged dad and kissed him on the cheek. I was ecstatic because he's home.
"I was studying, Dad." I replied to his question.
"Don't stress yourself too much, Ihstan. Remember I am always proud of you no matter what grades you obtained." He said and messed up my hair.
"I know Dad." I smiled at him.
Luckily, my mom and dad are always my source of strength. As an only child, I got what I wanted from them. I felt like I was the luckiest kid in the universe because I have an amazing parent.
Dad kissed me in my forehead. "I love you, Ihstan." Dad said and hugged me again. "My strength."
